Help needed....Poss from a 'vista' user.

Arghhhh.... help!
Have bought a new top spec laptop running vista home premium...
have bought football manager 09 and installed it, also successfully installed the update to V9.3, also have a scout and modifier (had to install framework thingy)
Now i started a new game(and have tried this twice), i then click Ctrl, Alt and Delete, from this new window i click 'start task manager' the 1st time i was able to launch the modifier and change my finances, i then went back to the game and saved it, after that.... every time i try to 'start task manager' it goes to vista home screen with task manager and the modifier but then instantly goes back to the football manager game, meaning i can't use the modifier..
Am i doing something wrong? never used vista used to have xp, am i pressing wrong buttons or something?
help would be appreciated.

Try running the programs as Administrator on your PC or make sure that all the files are saved correctly which you are trying to access/use. For example having the compressed files on Fm 09 ticked off. Hope that helps m8

Edit: You could also try and play the game in the window mode, instead of full screen so that you can flick between screens easily

Tried that.... click run task manager and after a quick flash it goes back to the football manager 2009 game screen.

KK so its just not letting you flick between screens? It should allow you to do it in the window mode for display?

Yep i know, had no problems in XP on old rubbish laptop!
it gives a quick flash of the vista page, u can see the task manager and editor but before you can do anything it instantly flashes back to the FM 09 game screen.

Have you tried using the keys; Hold ALT + and TAB and flick through screens lyk that?

Will give it a go m8... did not know that 1.
if that dont work i'll have a play about.

Yikes!!!... it works
pressed Ctrl, Alt and Tab... works fine, thought it might be different to xp.
just had a happy couple of hours sorting my hinckley squad out, only picked england and blue square N/S and up, to see how quick game runs, am quite pleased.
have a good squad, average P/A 112, wish i could have a slice of 200/1 the bookies are offering!

P.s...aimed a bit high to start, no foreigner would join, even though they were free and i offered 5k a week with 250k signing fee, got all english free players in end.
