String is too long

Hello!

I have a problem with the latest FM Genie Scout 15g v.1.0 15.2.0 beta 7. When I try to open a shortlist file I get an error "String is too long". I might as well note that shortlist created with previous version of FM loads up just fine.

We're aware of the shortlist issue. Turns out Sports Interactive have now encrypted shortlist files with their 15.2.0 update and we currently haven't come up with a workaround for it.

Encrypted? Ouch. That might be a deal-breaker right there.

Could it be because they slowly want you to start using the official ingame editor for things like this? Or is that crazy talk Keep up the great work!

We've implemented experimental feature in beta 8 - from now on Genie Scout loads players list directly from Football Manager without need to save shortlist first.

We need a couple of days to test it on ads-free version, and if no problems will be detected public beta 8 will be released as well.

Slowly is an understatement. I believe they're trying all they can to cease third party tools. Did you know they have forbidden the talk about our tools on their official forums? It's a bit funny really, because for many years they've been against "cheating" until they created this paid in-game editor.
