Ödegaard signs for FC Barcelona


The 16-year old Norweigan wonderkid Martin Ödegaard today signed for FC Barcelona. The deal was done in the summer, but it did´nt became official before now because Ödegaard had to be 16 before he could sign.

Ödegaard made 17 matches for his former club Stromgodset in the Norweigan league. Stromgodset did also play in Europa League and Martin impressed a lot in the matches. Martin has also played four matches for the Norway U-21 national team. Martin in seen as the biggest Norweigan talent ever. He was wanted of in principle all the big clubs in Europe.

Martin said follwing to the Eurosport reporter: I´m very happy to have signed for Barcelona. It´s a great club and I think that I´ll develop a lot here.

The Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola did also left a comment: Martin is a great player and a great talent. I´m very happy that he chose Barcelona.

Martin will initially play with FC Barcelona B in the second division. He has signed a contract worth €1.5k a week until the summer of 2017.
