Wondering if anyone has played with Ajax in recent years of Football Manager. If so have you had any success (small or large scale).
I have been struggling to find a team to manage for a long term save and my idea was to take charge of Ajax and focus heavily on the youth system.
With such good players coming through it could be one hell of a save.
I just played my first season in Ajax. I won the Eredivisie and reached the quarter finals of Champions League.
With such a young team it can be hard to make them perform evenly so I would recommend keeping the older players for as long as you can to keep a balanced team.
I played 4-2-3-1, starting 11: Cillessen; Van Rhijn (RB) Viergever Moisander Boilesen (LB) ; Duarte Serero; Schöne (OMR) Andersen (OMS) Kishna (OMV) ; Zivkovic
I usually used all players, 18 years old and up, on a rotation system, while loaning out the 16-17 year old players. I always handle the loans myself, making sure the players on loan gets the best possible clubs and more playing time.
I have written an in-depth Ajax team guide on the forum that is just waiting to be published.
Hope you find this helpful. Good luck.
