Thanks for the support bud :)

Transfer News: Milan Complete Triple Swoop

AC Milan have announced that they have completed the signings of three more players. The first signing is Brazilian Full Back Fabio Santos from Corinthians, Fabio will provide cover in the Full Back area, with there already being injuries to key players in that position. Promising Midfielder Tomas Martinez has joined the club on loan from River Plate, it is thought that he will begin his time at the club in the u20 squad before joining the first team. Finally Argentine Full Back Gino Peruzzi joins the club from Catania, he is expected to however be loaned back to Catania.

Fabio Santos began his career with Sao Paulo where he went on to make 55 appearances for the club and scoring 3 goals. During his time at Sao Paulo he was sent out on loan to various clubs including Japanese side Kashima Antlers, Brazilian sides Cruzeiro and Santos and finally French side Monaco. In 2009 Fabio joined Gremio where he went onto make 20 appearances and scoring just the 1 goal. In 2011 he joined Corinthians where he went onto make 110 appearances for the club and scoring 6 goals. Fabio also has 3 caps for the Brazilian national team. The fee Milan paid is rumored to be in the region of £500k.

Tomas Martinez is a player who is highly rated in his home nation of Argentina. Tomas began his career with River Plate and made his debut for the club in 2012 at the age of 17. He has gone onto make 13 appearances for River Plate, and has recently been called up to the Argentina u20 squad. Tomas is a left footed Attacking Midfielder who likes to dribble with the ball, but is also very good at finding a pass to split the opposition defenses. Tomas joins Milan on a season-long loan, and will be expected to play for the u20 team before making his way into the first team.

Gino Peruzzi is an Argentine Full Back who began his career with Velez Sarsfield making his debut in 2011. He went onto make 45 appearances for Velez scoring 1 goal. In his time at Velez, he is most known for the Copa Libertadores tie against Santos, where he was able to cause Neymar problems and played him out of the game. In 2013 he moved to Catania for a fee of around £3.4 million, and he went onto make 23 appearances and scoring 1 goal. He has also been capped 4 times for Argentina national team. Milan are believed to have completed the deal for around £2.2 million, which will see him stay on loan at Catania for the season.

Manager's Thoughts:
I am very pleased with the business we have done so far this transfer window. I'm pleased that we have completed the deals for three more players. Fabio will provide cover for our Full Back area, but that doesn't mean that he cant make the Full Back position his own with good performances. Tomas was brought to my attention by one of our scouts who was at the Copa Libertadores competition, and he was very impressed with how he played, so we feel the move benefits both us and the player. Finally Gino is a bright talent, and i'm very pleased that we have been able to complete a deal for him, he has plenty of experience for someone so young, and we hope he can put in some great performances for the club.

August Update:

August saw Milan play their first competitive league game of the season against Fiorentina at home. This would be Milan's only league fixture of the month, due to the international break. Milan fans were hoping to see a strong performance from their side, as this would be a kick start for the new season, winning their first league game.

Simone Zaza (28)

AC Milan saw their first league game of the season finish in a 2-1 victory over a strong Fiorentina side. Fiorentina dominated the early proceedings and went ahead after 28 minutes through new signing Simone Zaza. Simone was able to latch onto a Borja Valero corner from the left hand side and place the ball past Diego Lopez. The second half saw Milan come out a much changed side and were able to get back into the game in the 60th minute through Michael Essien. Essien struck a wonderful half volley from 25 yards out which flew past Perrin in goal, after a Torres pass. Milan's winner came through substitute Riccardo Saponara who was able to hit a low drive past Perrin in goal, although the goalkeeper should have done better with the effort.

Manager's Thoughts:
I am pleased we were able to get a victory in our opening league fixture, however i feel the performance wasn't our best, and i expected more from the players. Fiorentina were the better team in the first half and i let the team know how i felt during the break. The performance in the second half was better and we were able to grab the two goals which won us the game, but again i feel we need to perform better in our next game.

Deadline Day: Two in, One out

As the transfer window shuts for the summer Milan have announced that they have completed the deals for two more players, also Milan have stated that they have let a player leave the club. The two deals into the club see Joel Campbell join the club on a season-long loan from Arsenal and Sergi Samper from Barcelona, also on a season-lomg loan deal. The player leaving the club is striker Giampaolo Pazzini who has joined Russian side Dinamo Moscow on a three year deal.

Joel Campbell began his career with Saprissa where he made 3 appearances for the club. In 2011 Arsenal reached an agreement with Saprissa to sign Campbell, however he was unable to gain a work permit, and was sent out on loan to French Side Lorient for the season. Campbell went onto make 25 appearances scoring 3 goals for the French side. The following season Campbell joined Spanish side Real Betis where he would go onto make 28 appearances and scoring 2 goals. In 2013 Campbell was then loaned to Greek side Olympiakos where he made 32 appearances and scored 8 goals. In 2014 Campbell was part of the Costa Rican World Cup squad that reached the quarter finals.

Sergi Samper began his career with Barcelona, playing in the various youth teams. In 2013 he was called up to the Barcelona B team and he has gone on to make 56 appearances and is yet to score. Sergi is a very promising Midfielder who has drawn comparisons to fellow Barcelona Midfielder Sergio Busquets. Barcelona are keen to see Sergi play first team football, and they see Milan as the team that can provide him with these opportunities. He has represented Spain at many different youth levels from u16, u17, u18, u19, u20 and the u21 sides.

Giampaolo Pazzini is a striker who began his career with Atalanta, making his debut in 2003. Pazzini went onto make 51 appearances for Atalanta, scoring 12 goals. In 2005 Pazzini joined Fiorentina where he would go onto make 108 appearances and scoring 25 goals. In 2009 Pazzini joined Sampdoria making 75 appearances and notching in 36 goals for the club. Then in 2011 he joined Inter Milan where he would go onto make 50 appearances and scoring 16 goals. Pazzini joined Milan in 2012, after Inter and Milan agreed a swap deal between Pazzini and Antonio Cassano. Pazzini made 51 appearances for Milan, scoring 17 goals. Pazzini joins Dinamo Moscow for a fee of around £850k.

Manager's Thoughts:
I'm pleased we were able to add a further two players to the squad before the transfer window closed. Joel Campbell is a very attacking player, he's quick, good with the ball at his feet and has an eye for goal, and i'm hoping he can make a big impression at the club. Sergi is a Midfielder with a lot of potential and o'm very pleased we have the chance to develop that potential which will help to benefit him as a player. With the club bringing in a totoal of seven players, we felt that we needed to somewhat balance the books, so we decided to sell Pazzini, he's been a good servant to Milan, but unfortunately he wasn't going to feature in my plans much, so it was easier to find him a new club so he can get game time.
Great story so far! Keep it up! Just sorry to see Pazzini go :(
@Kippax: Thank you buddy! I didn't want to get rid of Pazzini but he wasn't very good in pre-season and i needed to sell someone with high wages

September Update:

September saw Milan play four league fixtures. First they played Udinese away from home, Udinese are coming of the back of a 3-0 opening day victory against Sampdoria. Next Milan would play Chievo at home, who started their league campaign off with an impressive 2-1 victory over Lazio away from home. AC Milan and Lazio played out a very competitive 2-2 draw. Lazio weren't down for long as three minutes later Winger Balde Keita equalized for Lazio. Keita was able to follow up after a Diego Lopez save to slot the ball into the net. Straight from kick-off Lazio caught Milan napping at the back and Keita was able to score his second of the game, after a through ball from Gonzalez saw him rifle the ball into the bottom left hand corner. Milan's equalizer came from Fernando Torres, after a counter attack which saw Torres get on the end of a Jeremy Menez pull back, to slot the ball into the net.

Lorenzo De Silvestri

AC Milan and Sampdoria played out a bore 0-0 draw. Milan will be disappointed to draw this game, after having 24 shots on goal and the majority of possession. The best chance of the game fell to Jeremy Menez who got on the end of a Mattia De Sciglio cross but was unable to keep his header down. Man of the match Lorenzo Di Silvestri had a strong game down the right hand side, and he was able to stop the supply from Milan's left hand side.

Manager's Thoughts:
I thought it was a good month for us, picking up 8 points. The display against Chievo was our best i thought, we showed passion and desire throughout the game and we came away with a solid 4-1 victory. My main disappointment is that we failed to take our chances against Sampdoria, as we by far the better team, we were just unable to put the ball in the net. Next month we start of with a tough fixture away to Juventus, so i'm hoping we can grab a result their and really show that we are contenders this season.

Player Of The Month:

http://img.fifa.com/images/fwc/2014/players/prt-3/183864.png

Player of the month goes to Striker Fernando Torres. Torres has been in good form this month scoring 4 in 4 games for the club, as well as 2 assists. Torres has shown real determination and hunger since arriving at the club in the summer, and he has been rewarded with the player of the month award for September. Milan will be hoping he is able to continue to perform well and score plenty more goals for the club.
Very nice story so far! I really like your layout as it really makes it easy to read the story, you've done some good business in the transfer market so I hope that the players that you brought in will repay you with some good performances. Getting rid of Pazzini is somewhat disappointing in my opinion as he could still be quite useful for you. Anyway a pretty good start to the season to bad that you didn't win the match against Sampdoria but sometimes the ball simply doesn't want to go in the back of the net, looking forward to more updates!
@TheOtherSpecialOne: Thank you for the support, it really means a lot! Pazzini was a disappointment for me, i would have liked to have kept him, but his performances in pre-season were below par and of course it didn't help him that my other strikers were performing well. The Sampdoria game was a tough one, as we definitely deserved three points, but as you say sometimes the ball doesn't want to go in :)

October Update:

In October, Milan began the month with a tough fixture away to Atalanta who were currently sat in 11th place in the league. Then came Milan's toughest task so far this season, with an away fixture against current Serie A champions Juventus, who were sitting top of the league with 14 points. Milan's next match would be against Empoli at home who have had a tough start to life in the Serie A. Finally Milan would play Cesena away from home, to wrap up the fixtures in October.

Stephan El Shaarawy opened the scoring for Milan on the 24th minute, after a Mattia De Sciglio cross, saw El Shaarawy slot the ball into the bottom right hand corner. Cesena's equalizer came from Inter Milan loanee Luca Garritano, after a good piece of play down the left saw Garritano slot the ball into the top right corner of the goal. Milan took the lead through Left Back Pablo Armero who found himself inside the box, and was able to slot the ball into the net after El Sharaawy had his shot blocked. Giacomo Bonaventura then sealed the game for Milan after a deflected Keisuke Honda free-kick found it's way to Bonaventura to place the ball into the net.

Manager's Thoughts:
We had an excellent month, winning 4 out of 4. Also we were able to beat Juventus, which is not easy to do, so i am happy about that. I'm pleased that we are currently top of the league, and it's good to see that we are still scoring plenty of goals, unfortunately Fernando Torres did get injured in the game against Cesena, but were not sure about how serious the injury is, hopefully it's just a knock and we can see him back in action for our next game.

Player Of The Month:

http://www.fifa.com/imgml/tournament/confederationscup2013/players/xl/309406.png

Stephan El Shaarawy has had a fantastic month for Milan managing to score 2 goals, but he has also has 3 assists. His performance against Juventus was particularly impressive, as he showed everyone that he is getting back to his best, with his directness and his skill to get past players was a joy to see. Milan will be hoping for more performances like this throughout the rest of the season.
Good month, especially that win against Juventus!
@Jonte-23: Thanks buddy :)
What a month, and what a result against Juventus! Good to see that El Shaarawy is doing so well for you particularly after the terrible season that he had last year, lets hope that you can continue your current form!
@TheOtherSpecialOne: Thanks for the support, i'm very happy with how the team are playing at the moment and the win against Juventus was enjoyable :)
Nice win against Juve, lovely layout, so easy on the eye
