King Kenny Is Back woooooo, cant wait for season to start

Kenny's unveiling - The Press Conference

BBC Sport: Good morning Kenny! I think we'll start this off...You're back at the club that brought you so much over the years as a player and manager. What convinced you that this was the right move?

Dalglish: It was kind of a no brainer really. As soon as John came looking for me I knew it was right. Back together again, and I can't wait to get down to business. I have high hopes for the next few seasons.

SkySportsNews: Onto the more bigger questions Ken. Luis Suarez...A magician in most footballing aspects, Also a player that you signed along with Andy Carroll. What are your views on his recent actions and how will you cope without him?

Dalglish: Well there's no doubting that he's a fantastic player and undoubtedly in the top three. For me that is anyway. Losing a player like him is harsh and if it wasn't for his actions at this summers World Cup I fully believe I'd be walking into the next rumor after this to speak to my team with him included.

I've a few players on my mind but I'm not fully sure whether I'll be looking for a striker as we have four of them already. Of course no where near the quality of Luis Suarez but no offence to them. I can confirm we'll be bringing a few players in this summer though.

SkySportsNews: Any idea what position's you'll be looking to strengthen? And how will you want your new players to fit in with the rest of the squad?

Dalglish: Not quite no. Any players that do come in will probably fit straight in to the squad. We might find one or two players that we want to come in and start with the younger players.

TalkSPORT: This seasons expectations Kenny? What would you say yours are?

Dalglish: Well I'd be pretty bitter if we didn't secure a top four finish to be quite honest. We're fully capable and this club just should not be finishing outside of those places. No way. In fact, they should be at the top every year and that's where I intend to put them. I can't say that'll happen this year though, but we'll have to wait and see won't we?

I think we can go far in the Champions League depending on who we get in the group stages and as for the domestic cups, they're both winnable. Not that we will win both but they are winnable.

Liverpool ECHO: Kenny, What went wrong in your last spell at the club? What makes this time any different?

Dalglish: Definitely the time I was given. Had I been given a another year at the club I think I could have done a lot better here. I certainly believe I could have brought back Champions League football. I also feel like I didn't have the full support of the board which they now agree with and have decided to change.

This time round I will be given enough time and I've got the money to do the job. You can't succeed in the modern game without money. It'd be impossible to keep up with the likes of oil rich Manchester City and Chelsea.

Daily Mirror: Although it's a long way away yet, your first few games of the Premier League Include: Manchester United, Southampton, Sunderland, and Arsenal. That's a fairly hard start wouldn't you agree? How do you think you'll start?

Dalglish: Yeah I'd agree, however I'm relishing the challenge of facing up to United in my first game. Back against the team I despise the most, and the team I love to beat the most! I think there are 12 points to be easily taken from these games, we can win them all. As long as we prepare well in pre-season we can make those four games four wins. I'm looking forward to making that a reality and kicking on with the rest of the season.
KinG Kenny, Hopefully he will make another big signing like LUIS SUAREZ
Long live King Kenny. Well, I expect him to make Liverpool a force in European stages but four of four is pretty ambitious. ;)
Woooooooo King Kenny!

Kenny Ready To Spend As New Signing Arrives

Axel Witsel celebrates World Cup qualification with Belgian teammates

It's not taken long for the King to settle back into his throne, as today the Reds boss officially announced his first signing of the summer. Six foot Belgian Axel Witsel has been captured by Liverpool and the holding midfielder will now ply his trade along side Captain Steven Gerrard and Vice captain Jordan Henderson.

There has been no official statement from the player himself but he is said to be very excited by the opportunity to play for a manager as legendary as Kenny Dalglish. It also seems as though playing in a league such as the Premier League was really appealing to him when he made the decision between Atletico Madrid, Liverpool and a new contract at Zenit.

Witsel will be paid a huge 150K p/w for his services at Liverpool, and Zenit will gain exactly 18M from the deal. Clearly Kenny Dalglish is ready to spend big money on much bigger players. Something Liverpool have lacked...B*lls.

Dalglish spoke to Sky Sports this morning at Melwood just as he arrived for training and this is what he had to say.

Dalglish: I think Witsel is a very good player and very underrated for the class he beholds. He's going to come in and be the good defensive playmaker that we've been missing. He's going to back up the defense and support his fellow midfielders and wingers with the pinpoint pass he possesses. Then the wingers and other attacking players can do their job to supply our strikers.

I'm glad he's here now, it's been a quick deal too which I am glad about. He'll come in today at training and we'll survey his fitness and what we believed to be his key strengths and weakness'. We'll then come up with a suitable role for him within the team and we'll go from there.

Before you ask yes we are looking at a few more players and yes you can expect a few to come in, but not too much.

Witsel's transfer to the Reds brings great speculation on Lucas' career at the club. What did Dalglish really mean by "Good defensive playmaker"? Was that a reference to the Brazilian or just a meaningless comment? We expect someone to leave in the near future whether it be Lucas or anyone else. Who knows? It could even be a short term replacement for the declining Steven Gerrard.
Witsel is a good signing, will do well for you :)
Witsel is a great capture Aaron it's a decent price but I do worry about his wages being inflated I do also believe that his defensive qualities are underrated. I also agree with JasonRM saying that he'd rather have Rafa Benitez but that doesn't mean I won't try to read this story and keep up to date with the ongoings hopefully Slippy, I mean Stevie, will recover from the slip to lift another trophy.
What are you doing paying 150k to Witsel have you lost your mind, hopefully he lives up to the expectations
