Klinsmann Let Go From USMNT

http://www.ussoccer.com/~/media/images/coaches/jurgen-klinsmann/140523-klinsmann-press-conference.png
In an announcement that shocked almost everybody in the world of football as USA has fired Jurgen Klinsmann as their head coach effective immediately. Klinsmann just got back from the World Cup in Brazil where they got out of the group of death which included his native country Germany, Portugal and Ghana, they were bounced from the tournament after a 2-1 extra loss to strong Belgium team, a game in which the USA battled towards the very end. Klinsmann was in charge of the US National Team for three years after he was hired in July of 2011 which made him the 35th coach of the USMNT. During his time as manager he had a record of 32 wins, 9 draws and 13 loses in his 54 games in charge of the US National Team. Klinsmann won the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2013 which will be his only trophy in his tenure with the USA.

The US Soccer Federation made the official announcement this morning with the press conference coming up today at 12 o'clock EST on ESPN 3. Some rumors have been swirling why they would fire such a widely popular head coach like Jurgen Klinsmann. People inside the US Soccer Federation have made claims of how they were unhappy with the handling of USA legend Landon Donovan and why he didn't make it onto the team for the World Cup which proved to be a fatal mistake. After first choice striker Jozy Altidore went within 10 minutes of the tournament starting and against Belguim it hurt as they really had no encouraging attacking play moving forward until the late stages of that game which saw them eliminated from the tournament. On top of that people inside the Federation were upset about how many Germans we has been importing to the team including Julian Green, Jermaine Jones and John Brook who all scored in the World Cup for USA, they weren't the only German born players in the USNMT at this World Cup.

Jurgen Klinsmann was at a loss for words as he declined to comment on what happened today. We don't know if he will be open to coaching another team so early even though rumours have been swirling about him joining 2nd Bundesliga club RB Leipzig, as well as a potential replacement for Jurgen Klopp if he decides to leave Dortmund.

Ballack Throws His Name Into Candidates for RB Leipzig Job

http://www.tz.de/bilder/2013/10/21/3177251/1691775965-michael-ballack-7BOlwcZMef.jpg
With the recent head coaching vacancy at the rich club RB Leipzig a couple of major names have been rumored with the job and it has only intensified since the firing of their former manager Zorniger. Earlier this week Jurgen Klinsmann relieved of his duty as the manager of the USMNT and even though he hasn't talked about his interest in the top he definitely has to be considered and now today former German star Micheal Ballack has said that he would be open to starting his coaching career at RB Leipzig.

Since his retirement in October of 2012, Ballack has been enjoying his retirement including some airtime on TV as a analyst from time to time including during this World Cup. This morning on a German radio show where he guest starred as asked about the rumors that link him with RB Leipzig he stated that "I think RasenBallsport Leipzig would be a perfect place to start my coaching career and I hope it could become a reality in the future." During his playing career Ballack played for Chemnitzer, Kaiserslautern, Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Chelsea. One think that does tie Ballack to RB Leipzig is that he played his farewell game at the current stadium of RB Leipzig, Red Bull Arena.

RB Leipzig Name Klinsmann As New Head Coach

http://i1.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article2933099.ece/alternates/s2197/Jurgen-Klinsmann.jpg

RB Leipzig have hired former US Men’s National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann as their new head coach, Klinsmann has had past coaching experiences coaching the German National Team as well as German juggernaut and world power Bayern Munich. He most recently was let go in shocking fashion by the USMNT after what many believed a very successful World Cup appearance for the Americans. They lost in the round of 16 to Belgium in extra-time thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku and Kevin de Bruyne in extra time sunk the Americans. This is tied for the best finish the USA have ever had since 1930 when they finished 3rd.

Rumours spread that the reason why Klinsmann was fired was because of his loyalty to German players bringing many German born players yet still eligible in some way to play for the United States including Jermaine Jones, Fabian Johnson, Julian Green, John Brooks and Timmy Chandler. With all of these German born players in the team they bumped out US legend Landon Donovan from making the squad which did not sit well with people within the US Soccer Federation.

Today nonetheless he stands in front of you as the manager of 2nd Bundesliga side RB Leipzig. RB Leipzig are enjoying life in the 2nd Bundesliga after two promotions in two years from the Regionalliga Nordost and 3. Liga. This was considered a highly popular job to be had with its sudden rise through the ranks of German football as well as the financial backing from the board leaves RB Leipzig as a club with unbelievable potential to maybe one day be a new power in German football along with the likes of Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke 04 and Bayer Leverkusen. They still have a long way to go to get where they want to be at some point in the future but today is defiantly a step in the right direction with the hiring of Jurgen Klinsmann who took a couple questions this morning as new head coach of RB Leipzig.

Reporter: What lead you to take this job considering it is quite a step down from your jobs in the past?

Klinsmann: Well at the beginning of my coaching career I took over a big time club and then a big footballing country like Germany and neither of those jobs worked out for me because I never felt like it was mine. It was something that I didn’t feel was mine. I inherited something great, I wasn’t the one who made them great. That’s why I took the US National Team job, I wanted something to be mine, I wanted to take something form nothing and make it great which I think I was on my way to doing, if my time wasn’t cut short. I feel like at RB Leipzig I can help make something great, something I feel like I’m a big part of, something that I can have a impact on. And RB Leipzig is the perfect place to make this happen.

Reporter: What are your expectations for the upcoming season?

Klinsmann: I think with the players that have been brought into the club this summer have made it very realistic for us to be promoted into the Bundesliga this season and anything less than that can be seen as a failure. One last question.

Reporter: Do you planning on bringing in any new signings for the upcoming season as well as possibly letting go of some players?

Klinsmann: Yes, some people will need to be brought in and unfortunately some people will need to leave to make sure this squad will be good enough to ensure we get promoted this year. I have not determined who I will be letting go and who I will be bringing in because I plan on seeing everyone in the squad first and seeing if they will be apart of this clubs plans in the future. Thank you everyone for coming out today, it was a pleasure.

What a big name to get as boss, great choice, a fantastic manager irl!
Urgh... how I loathed Klinsman and his arrogance (but an amazing player despite the dives) when he was Bayern, love the detail of Lepizig's spending and hopefully Klinsmann will turn over a new leaf.
Tallery, Iconic: Ya he's one of my favorite managers irl, thanks guys, hopefully Klinsmann can take Leipzig to new heights!
Interesting to see your choice of manager! I have a feeling Ballack might be in the running for the assistant role?
Nilroji: Thanks mate, who knows what the future holds
