AS Monaco - Le Monegasque

I finally decided on a team and it's AS Monaco from France. I didn't choose them because they have a big transfer budget, but because they have some great young players.

My story will be based on games, not on some articles or fantastic stories.

My objectives will be:

1. Sell old players with high wages.
2. Bring in young players with great potential
3. Build a strong team, a force in Europe
4. Win Ligue 1 and Champions League
5. Have State of the Art training and Youth Facilities
6. Become the richest club in the World

My objectives from the club in the first season are:

1. Sigh high profile players
2. Qualify for Champions League in Ligue 1
3. Reach the knockout stage of the Champions League
4. Reach the Final of the French Cup

New manager already started his working career at AS Monaco and held his first training session at La Turbie.

For the objective set, qualifying for the Champions League the board gave me 43 mil euro, no wage budget available.
A very large sum of money, but......the balance of the club is 10 mil euro with a loan monthly fee of 3.3 mil euro.
The projected balance is -56 mil euro for next season, so high profile signings for lots of money is out of the question, that's why I decided to ignore the board's objective.



A source inside the club stated that he had talks with the board and their idea with high profile player signings doesn't match his ideas and will not follow it. The board didn't seam happy about this but are prepared to give him a chance and see what will happen.

AS Monaco president, Dmitry RYBOLOVLEV said:

I gave him money so I want big players, he doesn't need to worry about the club's finances, that's not his job. I have the money and I give the orders around here, I want Messi and Ronaldo to play for us in the same team in the future. I want the Champions League, I want to humiliate Abramovich!

Manager Jaque Fernandez:

I know what he wants and I told him it's not going to happen. My idea is to build for the future, it's better. I saw that interview and I spoke with him after that, he said he will give me a chance to work with my ideas. He will see that in a few years my ideas were better.
We will be bringing some young talented players, but we will watch the club's finances because we have to respect the fair play UEFA regulations.
