Alright, so I haven't attempted to keep a save on FM going for more than a season in recent weeks, much less attempt to keep a serious story on FM Scout steadily updating, so I've decided that I'll do a joke (aka keeping the intentions of the save itself not serious, nothing to do with the content of the story) story to lighten the mood. Have fun reading!
Note: I'll be using one of the 2014/15 update packs (pr0's update to be more specific) to make the player database as up-to-date as possible.
According to insider reports from Chelsea F.C. staff members, legendary boss José Mourinho has been sacked by the club's owner, Roman Abramovich, after a disappointing league finish (3rd) last season. In addition to this, Abramovich stated he was disappointed in Mourinho's off-field conduct, and said that a fresh start would help all involved with the club. Neither Mourinho nor anyone else involved with the club were available for further comment, though we could expect that the fiery manager is outraged by this harsh-seeming decision.
Everton's Roberto Martínez has been heavily linked with the Chelsea position, after his success with the club last season in the Barclays Premier league, though no sources are available to confirm this rumor. The 29-year-old Adam Drayton (fake), known prior only as a coach for the now-Skrill South side, Sutton United, and reportedly very prolific on the football simulation game Football Manager, has also bizarrely been linked with the position.
Chelsea have wasted no time in appointing a new manager for their side, as the previously unknown Adam Drayton, having only recently received his coaching licenses, has filled the void left behind by the firing of club icon José Mourinho. Drayton appears to have lofty ambitions for the term ahead, claiming that he will be able to provide a league title to the club in the upcoming season, and to fulfill his goals the club have provided him with a transfer budget to the tune of £100M, despite the club already spending millions on players such as Cesc Fàbregas who is expected to be key to any success the club have this season. Drayton had this to say:
I'm delighted to be given the opportunity to manage a club with the stature of Chelsea F.C., I believe that this club has a very young and talented squad and hope to be able to provide much success during my stay with this club, but everyone will have to work hard to achieve our goals.
