Unlucky, I bet you thought it might be too good to be true when you went 1-0 up haha. At least you can concentrate on the league now tho!
Your looking good for promotion I hope you do it, must have been awful to lose to City like that after leading for so long, but now you haven't anything to distract from gaining promotion up to BPL!!!
Looking very good in the league ,playing City is a tough ask to come away with the win. Good Luck ( I bet $50 you would finish first)

Derby today announced the arrival of two players on loan in the January Transfer window. Darren Bent arrives from Aston Villa on a six-month loan deal running until the end of the current campaign. He will wear the number 29 shirt at the iPro Stadium. This season he's made six appearences at parent club Aston Villa without scoring. With his contract expiring at Villa Park at the end of the season, Thomas' has suggested that he's interested in making the deal pernament if it's a success.
The second arrival is again from the Premier League. Algerian midfielder Nabil Bentaleb completed his move to Derby on six-month loan on deadline day and has been handed the number 23 shirt, made famous by David Beckham. Thomas explained his decision for the signing, saying it would add more flexibility to the team.
JT: Will Hughes has been playing the DM role recently and the addition of Nabil gives first the defense more cover, but gives me more flexibility to shift the other players around. Darren (Bent) is a proven goalscorer and we are happy to give him first team football here.

So with our January additions and a narrow defeat to Man City, we ventured into February. What greeted us were five straight wins to really cement our promotion ambitions. Leaking plenty of goals but thankfully at this level at least, we are capable of outscoring teams. Whatever happens, the back five need addressing this summer.
For any seasoned readers of the series, you should have expected this. The heights of February ruined by the doom of the following month and only eight points took from a possible eighteen. The Norwich game was a particularly tough pill to take as we had already beaten them this season. Darren Bent was facing the same problem as Billy Mckay, unable to work his way into the starting XI due to the ever impressive Chris Martin.
A mixed end to the season. I was happy we'd only lost the one game but all of the last five games were unconvincing and we were lucky to achieve as many points as we did. Nabil Bentaleb had become a stonewall in defensive midfield, allowing the creative Will Hughes and free scoring Craig Bryson to do their things further ahead.
I suppose the question to ask is, did we do enough to be playing top flight football next season?

YES! only just though! We gain promotion in second place behind a mightily impressive Norwich who i have no doubts will do well next season. Great effort from everyone but a special mention would go to Chris Martin. The prolific scorer managed to stay injure free for the entire season which was key to our success, and score 34 goals in the Championship, 37 in all competitions.
