Starting FM09

Hey guys. When starting a new game on FM09, what leagues should I start with and which nations should I load all players from? I only wanna play as Exeter City in English League 2. Wanna try and get them up to Premier League!

i load these leagues: english all the way down, spanish, italian, french, german all the way down, swedish. also scottish and the dutch. at times i load 1-2 others depending on what team i decided to play with.

when playing lower league you want to be able to find good players from the swedish leagues, scottish etc. you can always check around in those leagues and see if you can find a player for your team.

the simple thing to do is, load the leagues and countries which you have knowledge of!

Cheers RedArmy. The problem I have is that I have very little knowledge. Used to be a mad football fan when I was younger but not so much any more lol. Should I make those leagues playable or just view only??

playable means it will be fully loaded with reserve and youth players of the teams.
view only and not as many players will be loaded. but some leagues i choose view only because im sure im not gonna play in that league, but want the league records and player records recorded.

but what you can do is sign 1-2 scouts from other nations, like a swedish scout, and a german scout or something. that will automatically add players to your in game player search, so you can find more players like that.
