The Portuguese Trip

I am going to rise to the top with Benfica. I will reconstruct the team into a League Winning side that has the X-Factor to take on the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, which leads to my ultimate goal being UEFA Champions League Winners. Benfica have always been strong contenders of the Europa League but have always been pipped in the Champions League. Now it is my turn to take on these European sides and win the Champions League.

The Portuguese Trip

My next challenge is the same story is the Portugal National Football Team. This team has had many amazing and talented players and still does, although they haven't all come at the same time, players such as Luis Figo and Cristano Ronaldo who are talented players have not been able to lead their respective teams to success. Portugal have been on the brink of breaking into the big four but have never made it. Portugal currently lack the depth in their first 11 and this will be a challenge as the side has a number of ageing players. Although in saying that players like William Carvalho provide potential for the side to become potential World Cup winners.

Benfica sign Walpole as First Team Manager

Portuguese outfit SL Benfica have parted ways with Jorge Jesus and have immediately installed unknown manager Scott Walpole. Walpole started his career as a Sunday League Footballer in New Zealand, before a Achilles injury forced him to stop playing. Since then Walpole has retained Job Coaching Qualifications and began as the Benfica U19's Manager but due to his noticed talent he was soon promoted to First Team Manager. It will be interesting to see if Walpole can take Benfica to glory in the seasons to come.

Nice start, although I would suggest making all of the pictures the same size to make it that bit more presentable. But good luck with Benfica and Portugal! :)

Hey Diablo, my transfer budget isn't confirmed yet but I should have enough to make 3 signings at least, Marco Veratti is good but I'm not sure whether he would like to come to Portugal ;)
