MATCH DAY 2
DISAPPOINTING DEFEAT

LIVERPOOL'S POOR PERFORMANCE ADDS TO DISAPPOINTING DEFEAT

Chelsea featured a number of exceptionally quick players and used them to full effect as they ran out winners on a warm summer's afternoon at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea's winner came through Juan Cuadrado as he seized on Martin Skertel's mistake to score a simple finish from close in. Liverpool were carved open a number of times but despite the ability of their opponents to create chances, they struggled to put them away.
