The New Generation - Stade Rennais

Stade Rennais are renowned throughout France and Europe for having some of the best youth facilities and sheer quantity of playing coming through the youth ranks to make the first team and national team selection, just some are Sylvain Wiltord, Stephane Mbia, Yoann Gourcuff, Jimmy Briand, Mikael Silvestre, Yann M'Vila and Jaques Faty among others. Indeed of the current senior tream 11 of the 22 are from the Rennais academy. As Rennais were my first team outside of England on FM I have a big soft spot for them so hopefully this will be a great long term save.

The Squad The squad is very young as you would imagine having so many youth academy graduates in the team but there is a bit of experience mixed in with the likes of some promising youngsters in the likes of Sylvain Armand, Benoit Costil, Paul-Georges Ntep, Vincent Pajot, Sanjin Prcic and Ola Toivonen.

Summer Transfers
With a modest budget of 2million pound I had to sell to buy and do a bit of stretching of the transfer payments and managed to bring in a few loans and one marquee signing so to say.

Transfers In -
Transfers Out

Ruben Neves - Loan
Jean II Makoun - 600k
Adama Traore - Loan
Phillip Hosiner - 3.5m
Sergi Samper - Loan
Charles Itandje - Loan
Jesus Vallejo - 1.1m
Carlos Fierro - 6.5m

Ligue 1
On the back of 4 straight wins to end the pre season we opened with a 1-1 draw against title chaser Lyon thanks to Kamel Grosicko who was only playing due to Adama Traore's injury. the draw was followed by another two draws and with PSG and OM looming we gladly took the three points against Caen 3-1 with the attacking trident all registering a goal
Fierro is a great signing - he is such a good striker, and defo an #FMLegend
Good Start - Fierro is incredible :)

Godd start to the season, Fierro and Vallejo are two excellent deals. Beating Marseille is brilliant and the draw against PSG is also good considering considering you had a man sent off.

it might be a bit early to say it, but you're looking good for an unbeaten season

Cheers fellas I'm surprised we're still unbeaten as well but we just need to get a bit greedier and turn some of them draws into more wins lol.
aiming for Champions League eh? you can do it!

I honestly don't care if I get into Europe, I just wanna keep giving youngsters some game time by rotating as much of the first 11 i can each game and improve the youngsters. Next season with some loanees returning and another year into the youth I can blood some more than I can atm.

In form player - VOID!
5 games without a win how could I possibly choose one....... Vincent Pajot still has a decent rating during the past two months and youngster Steven Moreira has done well in my rotation policy.
Tough run to finish mate. Nevermind, sure you'll turn things around. Keep it up!
I take full responsibility for what has happened. I jinxed it, and would like to sincerely apologize to the fans and players of Stade Rennais, but more importantly to the manager.
I think the win over Monaco was pretty good, too bad for the rest of the games though... Hopefully you can pick yourself back up! good update ;)
