Löw's "Highly Impressed" with Hertha

The German National team manager, Joachim Löw has said he is "highly impressed" with Hertha Berlin's strong start to the Bundesliga season after a point and a win to Wolfsburg and Stuttgart respectively. Hertha have kicked off the new season with a bang due to the wonderful performances of players such as striker Salomon Kalou and full back Nico Schulz.

Löw quoted after calling up Schulz, "I'm highly impressed with the start Hertha Berlin have had and I have to praise the players and the manager, Thomas Tuchel who took over just before the season and has already worked his magic at the club. The morale seems to be high and the motivation levels seems to also be very high, but I can't except nothing less from a club managed by Thomas, he is a wonderful coach and he seems to get that extra something out of all players at his disposal."

The German coach also went onto talk about Schulz in particular saying, "The lad has really shown his potential so far and although we are so early into the season with only two games played, he has really impressed me with how he's played. He has a lot of potential being only twenty-one and I really want to see him get all of that out and I strongly believe he can do great things for this country. He is at one of the best clubs in Germany in my opinion, so I hope he carries on impressing."

Schulz has been selected in the squad to face France in a friendly on Tuesday evening, before a game in the Euro Qualifiers to Georgia. Toni Kroos and Marco Reus have pulled out of being selected after they sustained injuries.
High praise from a man like Löw! Loving this mate :)
Looking interesting so far, one question though, are you planning to write about each match you play or is this just a one-time thing?

Nice to see Hertha getting some recognition from Low, good luck to Schulz, hopefully he can get an international debut :D
Jack- Thanks a lot mate and I'm very happy to see him praising me haha
Glenn T- Yeah, I plan on writing on every match, something I haven't seen many people do. Happy to say that Schulz did get his debut too he played against Georgia!

Deadly Dortmund!

Hertha took on top of the table Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park in great form and with a squad full of confidence coming into the game and the same could be said for Jurgen Klopp's side who had thrashed Frankfurt 5-0 and defeated UEFA Champions League chasing side Bayern Leverkusen 3-2.

The game kicked off in front of a rowdy crowd of 77,000+ of fans, with many travelling Hertha fans. However, these Hertha fans were in store for a horror show from their side. Dortmund came close after just three minutes as Marco Reus threaded a ball through for former Hertha striker, Adrian Ramos, but he could only hit his effort straight at his old team-mate Thomas Kraft. But, just six minutes later, Ciro Immobile celebrated as he powerfully struck the ball home after a wonderful pass from Henrikh Mkhitayran found his feet and he turned beautifully round Johnny Heitinga to then strike it in.

From then on Dortmund continued to dominate, four minutes later it was 2-0 as Kevin Grosskreutz bundled the ball home from a Reus corner. More pressure then came through Sven Bender who struck one from outside the box, however Kraft held onto it well and then through Shinji Kagawa as he also hit one from outside the box with the same outcome.

Dortmund scored just before half-time though to make it 3-0, the man being Marco Reus, who had assisted the first two goals. He received the ball just inside the Berlin half and he dribbled his way through, completed a quick one-two with Kagawa and then rolled the ball into the right hand corner, as Kraft could only just watch it go in.

Berlin looked a little better in the second half as Nico Schulz, who was capped by Germany for the first time earlier in the week against Georgia, came close as he curled one just a whisker off the top left corner. Then his effort was quickly followed up by Salomon Kalou who stuck the post after he wriggled his way into the box after 52 minutes. But after that effort the game dried up, with Dortmund just defending the three goal lead and Hertha unable to beat the strong defence made up of Hummels, Sokratis, Schmelzer and Piszczek. But with just two minutes left of the game Dortmund pushed one last time and Marco Reus got a second goal as he tapped in from a Aubameyang cross.

After the game Thomas Tuchel said, "We came here expecting a loss really, I think most teams do, but we tried our best. Dortmund were in top form today and earned a big win like this, so well done to them today because they were the better team by far today."

At the end of today's games the Bundesliga table now looks like this.

Unlucky against Dortmund, but it's so early that it shouldn't matter, great story style btw
Good start in first 2 games - unlucky against Dortmund. Good luck though ;)

Hello all, first I'd like to say thank you for the support on my first story on the site! But now to the real reason of this. With the 2015/16 update coming out this week, it has made me want to do a save. I felt like I wouldn't be able to commit writing on Hertha, so I will be bringing out a new story. I hope you guys don't mind because I have something big planned. Thank you all for the support again and I hope you will support my choice and my new story when it comes around.
If it's as good as this has been I've got no problem with it ;)
Well it was a good read while it lasted :P but anyways like my avatar says keep calm and love Thomas Muller. Mia San Mia!
