Introduction

Hello everybody this is my new Partizan Belgrade story. This is my first time ever writing and posting an fm story online, so comments and any advice would be very appreciated. I chose Partizan because they are a team I know very well and have used in prior FMs, and they're a team I think I can be successful with. I also really like playing as Partizan because the saves can get very interesting. I plan on doing monthly updates with brief recaps on each game. I'm gonna try to get my first update out tonight but if not I'll get it out tomorrow. Enjoy.

The Squad

I plan on plan on playing a very fluid attacking 433 focusing on retaining possession and winning the ball. Here's what may starting lineup looks like at the start of my save but it’s definitely going to change throughout the season.

[h1}Key Players[/h1]

Andrija Zivkovic
Andrija is the best prospect at Partizan and one of the main he's only 18 and already he is pretty good. I think with just a few years of experience he could be amazing. I plan on playing him as an inside forward. I need to really focus on keeping him at the club for as long as possible. Also unfortunately he is hurt at the start of the save but its nothing major.

Nikola Drincic
Nikola will probably be one of my best players in the first season, I’m really counting on him to be the back bone of my squad. He has really solid stats all around and looks like he should be really good, the great free kicks and corners are a plus to. I plan on play him as a Deep lying playing in central midfield.

Sasa Ilic
Sasa is my team captain and the veteran leader of the team. He has 41 national team caps and came up through the Partizan youth system. In his career he has played in the Turkish premier league where he netted 22 goals in 2 seasons for the turkish giants Galatasaray, he has also featured in the Austrian premier league with Red Bull Salzburg and La Liga with Celta Vigo. Altough he is very talented he is 36 years old and his physical stats are pretty lacking, also I’m not sure where hell fit in my team as I’m not running a CAM. For now he’s as an attacking CM.

Schedule

The Schedule doesn't seem to tough, the league and most domestic competitions should be easy enough and St.Pat's is a good team to start Champions League qualification against

Goals

My plan is to take Partizan as far as I possibly can. One thing I will focus on is success on the Continental stage especially qualifying for champions league group stages as often as possible as this could bring in some important money for the club. I also want to as soon as possible be completely dominating all Serbian competitions (Which they basically already do) and want to get as close to winning the domestic treble every year. I also want to buy up as much young Serbian talent as possible (although probably not in the first season) to flip for profit. It will also be o important to retain my best players and make sure a make large profits whenever I am forced to sell a player. I don’t plan on making many moves this transfer window.
Good start mate, ill be following

JULY

Preseason

The preseason wasn't really to important for me mostly building up fitness I looked at the players a little but don't really care to much about the results

Transfers

I didn't bring any players in but let a few not very special but decent young players go out on loan to see if they can do anything

St. Pat’s First Leg (Away)

We played pretty well this game, the offense could have been better but we had most of the ball, we would’ve won had it not been for one bad defensive mistake in the 88th minute, however other than that it was a good performance. It was a game we should’ve won, but other than that not a bad first competitive game, at least we go into our home leg with a tie score show advancing should’t be to troublesome.

St. Pats’s Second Leg (Home)

We got the result we were looking for here and in general played pretty well. An early goal by Sasa Ilic really helped the cause however we conceded another goal on a concerning defense mistake in the 27th. Grbic banged in a goal just a few minutes afterwards putting us back in the lead and we were in control of the game from then on. It was a closer scoreline than we would have liked but not a bad performance.

Red Bull Salzburg First Leg (Away)

For our third round qualifying match for the Champions League we Red Bull Salzburg. The Austrian club was no easy opponent however thanks to a brilliant stoppage time goal by substitute Nikola Ninkovic this hard fought game between us turned into a big win for our club and puts us in a great position for the second leg.

Some unfortunate news Nenad Marinkovic will be out for about a month, we’re already pretty thin on attack and he had a pretty important role to play for the team, but luckily we have some players like Zivkovic returning soon from injury.

Player of the Month

Vladimir Volkov
Volkov had just a very very solid month defensively and had a decent passing game as well. He managed a great player rating in every match and pretty much forced teams to focus there attacks away from his area of the pitch
