hello fellow genie scout users,

first of all i'd like to say that it's a great program that has increased my joy in FM a lot, especially after i controlled my urge to buy every player with a PA above 170...

however recently i started to ask myself how the player ratings, on which i base my decisions who to buy or who to play, were calculated. i found the player ratings section where it shows which stats are important for which position. after that i started to do a little math and have now come within a 1% accurate way of calculating the player ratings myself. however it's still a big guess.

does someone here on this forum know exactly how the player ratings are calculated. would mean a lot to me.
sometimes i think that it's a useless number.

yes a 170 is better then a 140, but how much important is it then every single position-stat?

i mean, look at player like Boka arthur, a very low PA but not so bad stats for his role.

then? sell or not?
i dont know how exactly its calculated.

but its all about the players stats according to his position.

even though a player with PA of 120 might still be as good as a player with PA of 170, if that means that he has good stats for his position and certain things.

one thing extra PA does is that the player with higher PA usually has more stats and better hidden stats. like a bit better mentality, consistency and such compared to the one with the lower PA. even though both might have 20 in finisihing and composure.
@ both

afaik a player with a PA of 170 can be trained to become a top player. and will always be better than someone with 140. that's the tricky thing with Genie Scout, if you check potential attributes on a player, it shows his future attributes with a general training. if you give him a specialized training for let's say a Fast Striker, he will become much better than Genie Scout tells you. I've recorded differences at around 5% higher at some positions.

what i'm talking about in my first post though are the player ratings in percentage... for example vagner love always has around 86.00% for fast striker. i know this percentage is based on his stats, i'd just like to know how.
