Hi everyone. If you are anything like me when it comes to FM and you love managing in the lower leagues and you enjoy the challenge of starting with absolutely nothing and working your way up to the top, then this should be the story for you.

I will be starting the game unemployed, with no coaching badges and Sunday League playing experience, so its fair to say I won't be taking over at Real Madrid any time soon. I will be starting at the very bottom and I will try to manage as big a club as I possibly can.

Just to be clear, this won't be a story in which I take charge of a lower league club stay there for my entire career to turn them into Champions League contenders. I will be using each and every club I take over as a stepping stone to potentially greater things.

As a huge Bolton Wanderers supporter, I would love to take charge at the Macron at some stage in my career. Other than that I have no other goals or ambitions other than to have as good a career as I can possibly have.

I have loaded the game with every league available on the base game from England, Germany, Scotland, Italy, Spain and France, although I have set the French leagues to view-only as I have no desire to manage there.

I hope everyone who checks this story out enjoys it and any feedback and interaction from readers would be greatly appreciated and responded to as quickly as I possibly can.

As you can see, I am a very young manager at 29 years old, the same age Karl Robinson was when he took over at Milton Keynes Dons.

This is just to demonstrate how poor my starting attributes are. I can particularly see motivating players in team talks being a big issue when I eventually find a club.

Still waiting for potential job opportunities. On a side note, great to see my club doing so well in the Championship... not. I don't know what it is with this game but in every save I do, Bolton are even more dreadful on the game than in real life, which really is saying something!

A job has just become available in the lower leagues of England and I will certainly be applying for it. Hopefully I will have something to announce soon. I would like to find a club sooner rather than later as I'm already well into October. Fingers crossed!

I am delighted to be the new manager at Weston-super-Mare in the Conference South. The interview went well and I was quietly confident I would be approached and I was. I stated in the interview that my intention was to compete for promotion and that it was I intend to do. The hard work starts now.

As you can see we currently find ourselves in 12th position, only 4 points off the play-offs. A top 5 finish this season would be an excellent start for my career. It won't be easy but I'm confident we can do it providing we avoid any serious injury problems.

Not a very good history, but hopefully I can help to change that.

These are the expectations I've got for this season. Fairly generous in my opinion. I am keen to do well in the FA Trophy as we have already been knocked out of the FA Cup under the previous manager and the FA Trophy is a trophy we could potentially do okay in.

This is what we have at our disposal. Not a great squad but hopefully with a few additions we can do something this season.

These are the incomings and outgoings that happened before I took over.

This is the tactic I will be using. It's an asymmetric 4-3-2-1 formation which I believe will be good going forward but could be very leaky in defence. I may have to tweak and change a few things depending on my early results.

The worst aspect of FM in my opinion is the injuries and that's no different here. My first choice goalkeeper is out, my best centre-back is out, my best centre-mid is out, my best left-mid is out and my best striker is out. Brilliant.

My next game is in 3 days time away at Boreham Wood, who are currently 10th in the league. I will probably play the next four games and then let you guys know how we got on.
Good luck! This will be a challenge but one I hope you relish.
Good luck - should be interesting ;)
