River Plate - A new Generation

After Ramon Diaz left River Plate Buenos Aires in May 2014, Gustavo Zapata took charge as the caretaker Manager.
The River Plate Board is looking for a new Manager for the upcoming Season and they already have a few possible candidates in mind.

Marcelo Gallardo seems to have the best chances to become the new Manager, according to the last rumors surronding the club.
Gallardo started his playing career at River Plate and would be interested in the spot!
He won the the Championship with Nacional Montevideo in Uruguay in 2012 in his first Season as a Manager, but this first Season was also his last one and he didn't had a job since now.

There are some other possible candidates like the former River Players Roberto Bonano, Juan Pablo Sorin or Marcelo Salas.

River Plate Buenos Aires had some problems over the last few years, which had it's peak in the relegation in 2011.
The Team got instantly promoted in the next Season and is now about to regain his reputation!
Who will be the Man in Charge for this Challenge?
River Plate deserves better than the position they are in right now. Hope you're the man to take them there. Good luck with the story.

That is one beautiful stadium!
Mammana + Balanta = either a fricking awesome CB pairing or an extra £30m in the bank, great position to be in
@Akash I try to make great things with River! The Stadium and the Fans are amazing

@Feliks I've got lots of stuff in my mind with the squad I have there

Chaos in Buenos Aires

River Plate Buenos Aires, whom are in search of a Manager, are clearly having a hard time right now!
Nr.1 Manager on their list, Marcelo Gallardo said, that he is not available for them, as he is looking for a Job in Europe.
The current Board is not looking like he could find a suitable Manager before the new Season starts and therefore many players are looking for a way out!

Loads of players, like the current captain Fernando Cavenaghi, Leonel Vagnioni or Ariel Rojas are looking for a way out.
Cavenaghi could be on a move to Italy as Torino, Atalanta, Empoli ang Hellas Verona handed in a transfer offer for the argentinian striker.
Ariel Rojas and Carlos Sanchez could be on their way to the Netherlands as the former UEFA Champions League winner Ajax Amsterdam wants both players to join them.

River-Fans are outragous

After the last few days and weeks, where Chaos overcame River Plate, the Fans showed their anger in the Season Opening.
River Plate had an open training session in the El Monumental and an autograph session right after it.
The Fans had to be held back from the security staff and the police, after some 'Fans' throw firework on the pitch and the young defender Emanuel Mammana got hit at the ear and had to go to a hospital.

The training session ended right away and the Autograph session was cancelled.

Players asked for a Board Meeting!

River Plate Buenos Aires is in some serious trouble! They have no Manager up to now and their No.1 Pick already declined the job offer and no other option is in sight.
Right after that, the Fans started some firework to disrupt the Season opening and their Fan-Day and surprisingly enough they were succesful!

Most of the Players wanted to have a meeting, to discuss the Problems within the club and how the club wants to deal with them.
The players are concerned that all this trouble might infect the upcoming Season and could lead to a big dissapointment for everybody!

A club-near source said that "some highly reputated players from the club are looking for a way out and started the Meeting-Request only to have a reason to terminate their contracts, as they feel very unsafe in Buenos Aires."
The Source furtherone claimed that River might need to promote a few youth player in order to have a needed deep in the squad.

Some of the Players who might leave could be Eder Alvarez Balanta, Giovanni Simeone or the River-Captain Fernando Cavenaghi.
Leonel Vangeoni and Ariel Rojas already are in Europe to find themselves a new Club.
