Louis Van Gaal is set to leave his role as manager of Manchester united, the club can confirm that he has left his role due to some serious health issues and he feels that he cannot work at the club for longer.The Dutchman stands down after just 2 weeks in charge at Old Trafford .

Rumours about the 63-year-old's United future began to circulate after he came in for training and had an hour long chat with his team, with United finally making the announcement on their website that Louis Van Gaal will stepdown after just 2 weeks at the helm of the club.
Van Gaals decision comes just days after being diagnosed with a fatal disease
In a statement, Van Gaal said: "The decision to retire is one that I have thought a great deal about and one that I have not taken lightly. I feel that I cannot offer as much as I can now especially with my health issues so I believe It is the right time for me to step down as manager and give a chance to a more suitable candidate.
Van Gaal also said:"To the fans, thank you. The support you have provided over these short weeks has been truly humbling. It has been an honour and an enormous privilege to have had the opportunity to be at this club but it has not worked out and I have treasured my time as manager of Manchester United".
Manchester United are looking for possible candidates and sky sources understand United have drawn up a list of potential managers with the likes of Carlo Ancelotti , Jurgen Klopp amongst the most recognised on the list.
