First League Match-Rangers vs Livingston @ The Ibrox 9th August 2014

Pre match thoughts:

What a first match eh, at me old stomping ground. Couldn't have asked for a harder task first up. Rangers have a very talented squad and deserve their media prediction of 1st. We on the other hand are predicted to finish 8th...None the less I will aim to get something out of this match. We will mainly play on the counter. Some new lads will be handed their debuts having impressed on the training ground. While I now it will be tough I am hopeful that if we can defend well and take our chances then maybe we can get at least a point.

Starting Line Up
Rangers 1-0 Livingston

Manager's Post Match Thoughts:

Ahh well, not the best way to start however not the worst. Rangers scored early after a long ball forward was misjudged by Gordon which allowed Fraser Aird in with a 1v1 with Jamieson which he calmly slotted home. For the next 20 mins we were hanging on to only a 1 goal deficit. After about the 30th minute mark we began to come into the game and up until half dominated the ball without caring out some opportunities. The next 45 started the same way as it finished with us domination proceedings. However our inability to score cost us as Rangers managed to wrestle back control and really for the last 20 mins we were lucky not to concede. All in all not a bad performance although we must work on attacking when we get the ball.
Shame, that was a match that was within your reach! A nice fee for a team in such a low division on that player!
Livingston vs Hibernian 16th August 2014 @ The Energy Assets Arena

Pre Match Thoughts

Following last weeks close loss to Rangers we were at home for the first time this league campaign as we took on Hibs. Hibs are the other heavyweight in our division so playing the heavyweights in the first two matches was bang unlucky. We have some new transfer arrivals in the squad and after the match I will provide an update on transfers. I am fielding a very strong team, probably my strongest and for this reason I am confident of getting a result. The changes are Boateng (New Transfer) ,Millen and Holmes-Dennis (New Transfer) in and Parry, Braham-Barret and Prarpronik out. So Hopefully come full time we can be clapped off the field by a big crowd that has been pleased with our performance. #COYL

Livingston 1-0 Hibernian 16th August 2014 @ The Energy Assets Arena

Manager's Post Match Thoughts:

Fantastic Result we defended well throughout not letting them get anywhere near our goalmouth. I am really proud of the lads after todays effort. To not just draw but win against Hibs this early in the season is huge. Our goal was a penalty which was calmly slotted home by Gary Glen. The penalty itself was won by Gary Glen when after some good work from Georgiev down the right hand side allowed Georgiev to lay the ball off to Glen on the edge of the box. He drives into the box before being cruelly hacked down by Scott Allan. To make matters better Fraser Fyvie was given a 2nd yellow for dissent. Overall I'm well pleased with the result and so are our supporters. #COYL
