Brilliant start - especially the Liverpool result!
Did Dann get injured? I noticed he didn't play in the regular season, and you'd certainly want him over Martin Kelly. I'm also surprised you were able to sell Guediora and put Campbell out on loan, although I think you're using 15.3, and when I played as Palace I used 15.0. I'm also amazed Chamakh is firing, but I'm glad. He's the top of your wage scale!
Wow, great start. Always nice to see Liverpool be thrashed.
Brilliant start to the season!

After talks between Manager Lloyd Debenham and Chairman Steve Parish, they have decided to apply to the council to seek permission to improve their youth facilities. By doing this, the club will be able to increase their level of recruitment and player development.

And today, it was confirmed that the youth facilities will be improved, confirming the club will be funding the £1,000,000 project that will be completed by late October 2014. The club say this is a massive step forward for the club in developing young, English talent.

Head Coach Lloyd Debenham told the club website: “I think by doing this it can help both the club and the local community. I’ve always believed in the use of English players at an English club and to be able to help and support the national team by bringing through English talent is a boost for both parties. It also allows to either have fantastic English players in our team or even sell them on to make a profit

With the work to be completed within two months, it will be interesting to see how the U18s and U21s teams at Crystal Palace will get in regards to development and recruitment.
Youth could play a big part in the future, so knowing you've got a board willing to upgrade helps a lot securing Palace's future stars
Impressive as it has been so early in your career.
Improved facilities mean improved players! :D

League Table

2nd place after 6 games is amazing! Well done!
Really good month, deserving that 2nd place right now!
Great start, this will help you in the long run!

It is impossible to deny the Crystal Palace have had the dream start to their league campaign this season with the club sitting at second in the table only 6 games into the season. The results by the club have amazed fans especially their 4-0 win at home to last year's runners up Liverpool.

But this has left one question on people's minds; how on earth has this all come about?

When we spoke to club captain Julian Speroni, he told us: "Since the gaffer arrived, there's been a whole new momentum in the squad. The atmosphere has been through the roof as with the morale and everyone is just focused on doing their best. The manager has just set this positive mindset into the players and it makes us more determined to succeed

"No one can deny that there is a new buzz around the changing room, with a new manager coming in this season new staff and new coaches; it's just rang you for the boys and it has brought excitement among the group

However, when we spoke to the manager Lloyd Debenham, he seemed incredibly relaxed, he claimed: "Everyone is going about saying that everything changed, you're playing much better football, better atmosphere around the stadium and the dressing room but there isn't really much to it"

"All I have done is just given the players the freedom to play the way they want and what suits their game best and by playing the way they want and the way that suits them again they benefit and perform to a much higher standard. Whilst you could claim that the lenience in play may have a massive effect, I still keep a strong line of discipline both in and outside of the changing room"
Nice way to see how Debenham is managing the team.
Sorry about the lack of updates recently but I have been busy with family as it is the summer holidays for me. I am currently working on an update that should be up later today (Wednesday)
