Surprise Transfer!

News coming out of Chelsea FC today is that Giovanni Simeone has completed a year long loan deal. This is a big surprise to pundits and fans alike and there wasn't any news of this deal ever happening with River Plate wanting to use him as there main striker!

Glenn Freeman has this to say about the deal. "I must say it shocked even me that they accepted my offer. I am extremely happy to get this young man as I see something special in him. As for rumours I only got him because he becomes amazing on Football Manager, well yes that did have something to do with it. I do think that we can develop him to become a world class striker though."

Even More Transfer News!

Such a busy week for Chelsea FC as there make there third signing today. Demarai Gray has accepted the offer and moved to London. Glenn Freeman came out to praise the young lad with his professionalism during contract talks.
"He definitely surprised me, I was expecting him to want massive wages like most youngsters want now-a-days. He said a number that was well within our budget and I didn't hesitate to offer him it. He will mostly be a rotation player for the first season or so but I do expect him to break into the first team within the next two years."

Final Signing for Chelsea?!

News today of a fourth and final signing coming out of Stamford Bridge.
Nathanial Clyne has finally agreed terms and joined the London club.
Glenn Freeman had this to say about the young right back.
"I am extremely happy that we pulled this transfer off. There was times in the negotiations that I didn't think he would accept but im happy to finally be out of the boardroom and on the training pitch. He will certainly be going straight into our first team but has some strong competition ahead of him."

Upset with what? :P

Good start so far, 'Chelsea' and 'building for the future' don't exactly go that well together in real life but hopefully you can make it work in game!

From personal experience Simeone turns out to be a really amazing striker. Interesting signings :)
Glenn T: Ahh well you know, cant have two Glenn's anywhere with the egos that come with them ;) haha
I must admit being an avid follower of your story I did take some inspiration from you, that's where the Simeone transfer came from :)

Pre-Season Results

Glenn Freemans men played an incredible 11 friendly's to get ready for the new season.
Chelsea mostly played their friendly's in China due to marketing reasons.
Losing there first game against Cruzeiro must of been hard as they definitely were the stronger team with more possession and shots on target throughout the whole match. They then bounced back with 6 wins out of 7 against Chinese opposition. When Chelsea returned to Stamford Bridge they had another 3 friendly's to play against European opposition.

The first game against Bayer Leverkusen ended in misery with a 2-1 defeat but they fared better against the two Belgium teams that visited the London club, winning both.

Glenn Freeman came out to announce the player of pre-season today.

"I have to praise Eden Hazard for his performance during pre-season. For a winger to score 18 goals in the 10 games he played was amazing and he is surely going to be a massive player for us all season"
Just a little update.

I come baring bad/good news. Its bad news for everyone that likes my story and also me because I like writing it, but also good news for me. I have currently been off work due to a injury that has plagued me for years. I shall be returning to work though on the 1st of August properly and will not get time to update. This isn't a goodbye because believe me I will update whenever I possibly can but I do have to say they will not come very often.
