Mourinho leaves Chelsea after winning the title for a 3rd time

Roman Abramovich has confirmed that for a second time he has parted company with Mourinho after they did not have the same view on the upcoming transfer window as Abramovich has only made a limited amount of money available to the defending champions. Mourinho felt that with limited money he would be unable to retain the title and has therefore decided to leave by mutual consent.

Abramovich has confirmed that the new manager will be a familiar face at Stamford Bridge as he had a previous reign at Stamford Bridge prior to Mourinho's return. He will be confirming the manager soon at a club press conference and is expecting the fans to have a mixed reaction to the unveiling due to the new manager's not so good first reign.

Roman Abramovich has decided again to go with someone he has worked with before and again a Portuguese as he has gone with Andre Villas-Boas for a second time.

The Portuguese has expressed his delight at having a second chance at the Bridge after having a poor first spell in the 2011-12 season. He stated "I feel in the few years I've been away from the club I have improved and learnt a lot more and I feel ready to take this club to the next level". Abramovich has admitted it will be a risk bringing back a manager who didn't do well in his first spell but has said he feels he is young and has learnt since being at the club for his first spell and can be the long-term manager of the club being only 37 years old.

The Russian also reiterated that he and Mourinho did not fall it - the pair just didn't see eye to eye on the plans for the upcoming transfer window.

Most Chelsea fans are excited to see the Portuguese back as they feel he is now ready to take them to the next level but others feel after his poor first spell it was a silly decision to even give him a second chance after Chelsea just scraped through the 2011-12 Champions League group stages under Villas-Boas before winning it under Roberto Di Matteo.

AVB faces the press ahead of return to Chelsea

Today Andre Villas-Boas has had his first interview since being unveiled by Roman Abramovich. He started off by saying "I will be playing an attacking game here at Cheslea, we will not change our style as we feel we have good enough quality to attack and beat most teams." he added "We will win some and we will lose some games. We are playing to win and sometimes that will go agaisnt us and sometimes that will work our way.".

When asked about transfers he said "Our main aim is to get in a back-up left back and a 3rd choice goalkeeper." Sky Sources are saying that Chelsea have enquiry to Southampton about the services of former blue Ryan Bertrand. Our sources also tell us that AVB has been given £60m to retain the league and whatever money he raises by selling players.

We are delighted to confirm that Chelsea and Southampton have reached an agreement for the transfer or Ryan Bertrand, it is now down to personal terms and a medical until we can see Ryan playing in the blue shirt once again.

The fee is going to be £17.5 million but may rise to £20 million if the clauses are met whilst Ryan is back at the Bridge.

Thanks man, had a bit of free time and literally so bored with my saves atm and needed something to do so I though I'd try this out ;)

Lucas Piazon and AVB fall out!

New Chelsea manager has fallen out with a player not even a week into his tenure at the club. Lucas Piazon, who is linked with a move away to Sunderland for £5 million, was asking the manager for a wage rise after the interest shown in him. Our sources tell us that Villas-Boas had told him that if he wants a new contract he needs to earn it by showing the Portuguese that he is worthy of one.

Piazon looks to be on his way out as do: Marko Marin, Matej Delac, John Obi Mikel and Ramires.

Ryan Bertrand re-joins Chelsea on a 4 year deal

Chelsea have confirmed that Ryan Bertrand has returned to the club for a fee of around £20 million. The manager AVB said "I'm delighted to welcome Ryan back to the club, he is one of the players that this club has brought through the youth academy and whilst I'm here I hope to see more like him and John Terry come through."

The player himself expressed his delight at being able to return to his boyhood club "I was disappointed to leave the first time but at the time I was surplus to requirements but now I feel I have proven myself to be good enough for the first team and hope to break my way into the first team and win another Champions League with this fantastic club"

Our sources also tell us that AVB has nearly sold some of the players he wanted to sell and still has a large amount to spend if he feels he needs to!

Chelsea win 4-1 on penalties

It was AVB's first chance to get a bit of silverware with Chelsea and it's fair to say he lived up to his promises as Chelsea played a very attacking game at Wembley. It was a bore draw as neither team scored and it went to penalties. Chelsea took first and scored but Sanchez missed for Arsenal. Chelsea scored all 4 of their penalties as Cech didn't deny any of his former team mates. Arsenal took 3 missing 2 then Fabregas scored a 4th penalty for Chelsea meaning Arsenal could not catch up!
