Welcome

Hello! I recently joined FM Scout after a friend told me about it and here I am writing a story which I have often done in a few little groups on the Internet but nothing like this so I guess you can say it's something new for me. I was looking around for a save and then I thought to myself "Why not finally make a Carlisle save?" and as you can see by the title I did, this is because I support Carlisle and live in Carlisle, where my whole family has been born apart from me, I was born in Milan and lived there for two years before moving at three. I attend Carlisle games often, I have missed just two so far (counting home and away) both being away games, so I felt it would be perfect to start a save with the team I love and take us to the very top.

Carlisle United - A History

Carlisle have never really tasted success in their 111 year history having only won titles like what was the Football League 3rd Tier etc. and they have never been in the Premier League, even then it's been 30 years since they were last in the Championship having very much been a League One/Two club. Carlisle were relegated to League Two last season after being in League One for the last eight years even once finishing fourth. The club were nearly relegated last season too, finishing 20th and spending most of the season in the relegation zone until a few wins late on in the season pushed them up and out of the bottom two. The Cumbrian side are rivals with many Lancashire clubs such as Preston and Burnley but also with clubs like Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Sunderland and fellow League Two side, Hartlepool.

The Key Men

Jason Kennedy - Kennedy is an experienced head of the Carlisle squad having joined on a free from Bradford after a successful loan spell last season. He has played regularly in League One and Two and knows a lot about the league. Expect him to be a breaking up the play of the other team as he is a fantastic ball winning midfielder.

Jabo Ibehre - Ibehre is a talented striker who is another experienced head at age 32. Spending his career in League One mostly, he is not a goalscorer, but very much a creative striker who will create brilliant opportunities for his strike partner. Although he has had poor spells at Barnsley and Oldham, he is expected to really preform in League Two for the Cumbrian side.

Mark Gillespie - Gillespie is a 23 year old keeper who was brought up from the youth academy in 2008 and has been a rotational keeper only the last couple of season, playing 15 and 19 games in the last two seasons, however this year is the year that the Englishman is to step up and become the star of the show. With his great shot-stopping and reflexes, Carlisle known they have a talented man in between the posts.
Good luck!
