Those of you who follow my stories will know that I have recently developed a story-telling style of writing. Whilst this can make for interesting reading, it's a slow process and hinders progression in the actual game.

It is for this reason that I will be running this story alongside my other one, to offer a more streamlined version. This story will be run with monthly updates, with results, screenshots and general progress as opposed to the long written style.

I would like to stress that this story will be based on a DIFFERENT save to my other one. Anyway, less of the waffle, I hope you all enjoy this story and here goes!...

LEEDS APPOINT TOWNEND

Leeds United have appointed 40-year-old Josh Townend as the man to succeed Neil Redfearn as the head coach at Elland Road. The Leeds-born midfielder began his career at Bradford City at the age of 17. Four years later, he was signed for Leeds under then manager George Graham.

He left Elland Road in 2000 to sign for Sheffield United. This was followed by spells at Hull City (2002-2004), Doncaster Rovers (2004), Barnsley (2004-2005), Huddersfield Town (2005-2008) and York City (2008-2012).

After hanging up his boots in 2012, Townend became a part of the backroom staff at York City, initially in a role in the academy before becoming first team coach at the beginning of last season.

GOOD SIGNS ON LOAN

Leeds United have signed Curtis Good on a season-long loan deal. The 22-year-old Australian has had loan spells at Dundee United and Bradford city since his arrival at Newcastle United in the 2012/13 season from Melbourne City.

The centre-back is the first of Townend's signings and is expected to be in the squad for the training camp in Portugal, where Leeds will face Varzim as well as compatriots Nottingham Forest and Reading.

LEEDS MIDFIELDER RETURNS TO ITALY

Tommaso Bianchi has returned to Italy to sign for his former club Sassuolo. The 26-year-old central midfielder left Sassuolo last year to sign for Leeds United.

Unfortunately, Bianchi struggled for form last season and doesn't appear to be in new head coach Josh Townend's plans for this season. Bianchi rejoins Sassuolo for a reported fee of £2.5m.
Other transfers since the season started have included the signing of Matty Taylor from Burnley and the loan signings of Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea; DM/MC), Ante Rebic (Fiorentina; AML/ST) and Jay Fulton (Swansea; M/AM C)

League Table

It's been a pretty disappointing start to the season, but at least our one win was the most recent game, which gives us a platform to build on. Despite having a brillian pre-season, Lewis Cook hasn't quite been able to replicate his form and as a result, he now finds his position under threat from the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Jay Fulton. It was obviously very pleasing to see us get a win against Sunderland in the cup, in which Ante Rebic scored a brace on his debut. Derby are our first opponents in September, before we go off on the international break and recharge our batteries from what has been a hectic start of season schedule.

Player of the Month- Stuart Dallas

After some consistent performances at the start of the season, Stuart Dallas has quite rightly won the Leeds United Player of the Month Award. His performances have seen him set up most of our goals, and he's often at the heart of everything good that we do on the attack.

Goal scorers:

Souleymane Doukara 3
Ante Rebic 2
Jordan Botaka 1
Matty Taylor 1
Stuart Dallas 1
Sam Byram 1
Liam Cooper 1
