In another tough month, our panel found it difficult to narrow our nominations from 9 to 5, with only 4 votes separating 9th from 5th....the final poll was equally close, with mgriffin2012 and Griffo battling it out as their two French stories went head-to-head in the public vote. All of the stories nominated this month are incredible, immersive stories, but this time around, it was mgriffin2012 who triumphed, with his Marseille story eventually taking 45.5% of all the votes cast.

Picking up from the departure of Marco Bielsa, mgriffin2012 has taken us on an incredible journey through French football, triumphing in the Coupe De France, and moving from strength to strength since then. Immersive updates and a smooth writing style have seen this story rise to one of the best on the site, with over 17,00 views, and now a Story of the Month win!

Story of the Month: April

In a month when Story of the Month really tugged at the heartstrings, playing on them like a pirate on rigging, the final vote was a closely followed affair, as 5 of the best stories on the site battled it out for the crown.

In the end though, it was lewie100's Pentagon Challenge which won out, taking 50% of the total vote with an excellent, clean update style, and engaging writing. The first-time nominee has made it 1 from 1, in a shock, but not entirely unexpected victory!
