So I've started an FC United of Manchester career, I'm one season in, and managed to finish top of Vanarama Conference North. Now that I've made it to the Conference proper I'm struggling to find good players to sign to propel me through to the League 2 in the first season hopefully. I'd love to hear any suggestions on players to sign, ideally on a free or for under 50K.
I'm playing a 4-3-2-1 with AML and AMR.
My most pressing need right now is a DR for the first team, a good BWM(Defend) ideally with stats of 10 in Marking, Tackling, Strength, Work Rate, and maybe an upgrade for AML Jerome Williams, who is currently my 2nd choice winger.
It's such a struggle to attract decent players being one of only a few Semi-Professional clubs in the conference.
Also, does anyone else have experience with getting a Semi-Pro club turned Professional and how much it costs give or take? I have the option to ask and I've saved and tried out of curiosity but they keep saying we dont have the finances, currently sitting on around 800K balance after a 700K pitch relay and facility upgrade.
