Hi I’m Fikri. I’m from Malaysia. I have played FM for almost 8 years, since im in school. I like to start from lower league club(usually in Europe) and bring them to glory of Champion league.
I’ve been using FM scout for a few years, looking for wonderkid list, tactics, guides and reading all FM stories. I never post a comment or topic, just be a silent reader, but all those stories I’ve read has inspired me to write my own FM story. So, I decided to start my story and hopefully you guys can enjoy it despite my bad grammar and presentation. (first time writing story here)

Robbie Fowler appointed as new Oxford manager, taking over from Michael Appleton who has been sacked after poor season. Robbie Fowler, 35, widely known as a Liverpool legend, after scoring 183 goals during his time in Liverpool.
Fowler has been playing all over the world, played for Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester City, Cardiff city and Blackburn Rovers in England, North Queensland Fury and Perth Glory in Australia and Muangthong United in Thailand. He, also known as “God”, nickname given by Liverpool fan, has some experience in coaching, been a part time coach at MK Dons, player/manager role at Muangthong United and coach at Liverpool academy.
During interview with BBC sport, he said “I am delighted to have been appointed as the manager of Oxford United. It is a great honour and privilege for me to lead such a wonderful club. I hope I can bring ‘The Us’ forward and make the run for Premier League, it’s will be a great achievement for me and for the club”.

Debut match to remembered

An excellent performance by Oxford United player earn Fowler a win in his debut match as manager. The Us defeat Crawley 3-0 to give first 3 point and a great start for the season.
Oxford United, play with 4-4-2 formation, lead by Hylton and Hoban upfront, started well by controlling the ball, keep possession of 50-60% in first 15minutes. In 13 minutes, Skarz picked out O’Dowda, who dribble past Oyebanjo and make a cross into the box. Hoban able to head the ball towards goal, but Flavahan did well to tip it round the post.

Despite the possession, Oxford United unable to pass through solid Crawley defend in next 30minutes. However, in 42 minutes, a one-two between Gayle and Tricket, released Roofe on the right wing, and Roofe sent the ball far post, meet by Hylton’s volley and GOAL !! Hylton scored for Oxford United. First goal of the season for Oxford United. 3 minutes after that, started by an interception of Crawley’s attack by Wright, pass it to Skarz on the left wing, and Skarz swung in an early far post cross from the left which meet by Hoban’s head. Hoban scored second GOAL for Oxford United in this match. Skarz’s superb vision made the goal.

The Us leave the field for half-time rest in high mood after leading 2-0.
In the second half, Crawley started with good. Make a few attempt on goal, but Slocombe was equally strong.

In 58 minutes, started on left wing by Skarz, who pass it to Hylton in penalty box. Hylton hold up the ball and make a passed back towards Lundstram and Lundstram hit it from 30 yards. Lundstram scored a fabulous GOAL !!. Crawley had a chance to score from penalty in 70minutes, Slocombe was able to deny Jenkins.

A good start for the season. 9 points from available 12. We are out of Capital One Cup, after trashed by Championship club, Brighton. I don’t see we are capable of winning or advancing for later stage, so I guess the lost is the best way to avoid hectic schedule.

3 easy win as we dominate the match and keep the clean sheet. Hoban and Hylton are playing well upfront and Hoban has score 4 and assist 1 while Hylton score 2 and assist 4.

This game is one of those game when u dominate the match, but striker cant find their finishing touch, while opponent score easily. One goal from corner and one from cross gave them 2-0 lead in first half. As Hoban score on 70minutes to start a comeback, Clements score for Mansfield 1 minute later to kill the game. Im really disappointed, but we are unlucky not to win this game.

We came back from defeat against Mansfield with a confident performance against Yeovil Town. Goal from our wingers each, Roofe and O’Dowda and from Hoban and substitute Danny Rose secure us 3 points and finish the months in 2nd place below Wimbledon.

A mixed result for this month. 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 loses. We are advancing to next round of Johnstone’s Paint Trophy after beating Exeter City and book our place in second round against Wycombe.

We started strong in September by winning in Johnstone’s Paint Trophy first round. Then, we get a win against Bristol Rovers, despite their domination. 20 shots (7 on target) by Bristol against 4 (3 on target), but our player show more composure as O’Dowda and Ryan Taylor score on 75 and 87 minutes. That match followed by 2 loses, away against Northampton and at home against Portsmouth. Really disappointing as both was a close game but our striker let us down after unable to convert chances into goals. Next, we have an easy win against Morecambe as Hylton show how good he is by scoring an hattrick. Morecambe’s defender unable to deal with agility and off the ball quality of Hylton as he escaped a few times from defender attention to score for us. September ends with a draw against York City as we score a very late equalizer on 90+2 minutes through Ryan Taylor.

Currently, we sit on 3rd place, behind Newport County and Barnet, but league is just starting.
