As pre season finishes for Premier League sides, the fans are full of hope as they are before every season.

We take a look at Crystal Palace today.

With their season kicking off tomorrow, Selhurst Park is set for another Premier League season. The stadium, that was opened in August 1924, was last renewed in 2014 and has got a capacity of 26255. With an electric atmosphere, it's always a hard place to go for the big teams.

And the fans will have to play their part on opening day of this season as well when Palace hosts Liverpool. Newly appointed manager Max Mustermann will have to get all out of his team to get something out of a Liverpool side that will be coached by Borussia Dortmund legend Jürgen Klopp.

One of the key players of Musterman's side is certainly Yohan Cabaye who joined the club from PSG for a club record fee in summer. While Mustermann haven't made an own signing yet, he is reportly looking for Reading youngster Aaron Kuhl.

OPENING DAY DEFEAT FOR CRYSTAL PALACE

The Crystal Palace players carried the passion the fans showed off in a great display before kick-off into the match and made tackle after tackle. Liverpool had problems with creating chances although they had most of the ball. A Coutinho thunderbolt from 30 meters in the 22nd minute opened the scoring at Selhurst Park. Campbell missed the biggest chance for an equaliser as he put the ball just centimeters beside the post just before half time.

Liverpool didn't do much to exend their lead but Palace still was unable to create chances. Wickham, who came on as a sub for an injured Bolasie missed a header in the 80th minute just before Coutinho sealed the victory for Liverpool with another great shot from distance.

Following another injury (Cabaye) it was a first game to forget for the new Crystal Palace manager Max Mustermann, who had his say after the game: " I don't think that the difference between the sides was that big. We matched them very well but Coutinho's strikes were from another world. It's a bitter loss but I want to thank the fans. They showed incredible support during the whole game and we want to give them something back as soon as possible "

TRANSFER UPDATE

We have currently tried to get Joel Campbell from Arsenal but the deal fell trough as Arsenal wanted far to much for him. We tried to sign Aaron Kuhl from Reading as well and already had an agreement with the club but the player signed a new conract with Reading instead of signing for us.
We haven't sold a player yet and I'm not keen to do so.

It's one week to go until the end of the transfer window and we haven't made a signing. YET!

THE EXPERIMENT IS OVER

Following the league defeat against Tottenham (4-0), Crystal Palace just announced that Max Mustermann and the club part company. Mustermanns side failed to score in each of the 4 Premier League games the've had this season while only gaining 1 point.

Michael Owen has his say: " Crystal Palace partiing company with Mustermann means that he won't be the manager of the team. Mustermann won't be happy I guess. "

Crystal Palace will watch out for a new manager during the international break while Mustermann will fly back to Austria to consider his options.
Hi Guys,
if anybody was reading this story - it's now over as I wasn't good enough and the board wasn't really patient.
I might start another story soon but I would like you to give me some advice about my writing (not grammar, as I'm not from an english speaking country this issue won't get that better soon). Is there anything you would like me to bring in? Like interviews or something?
Thanks.
