After 5 years without FM, I decided to play FM16 with Marseille, the club I always loved.
But although the game has almost always been for confirmed players, I find that now it's for pure elite! I find it so difficult!
So here is my situation: Marseille has a good roster, with starting players who have the level to be top 4. The roster is pretty built for 4231/433, and there is no money, so no real choice.
So I spent a lot of time adjusting the training, the tactic,... and still, I'm just terrible. But not in a "results are meh" way, but really in a full "I'll get relegated at the end of the season" way.
What's frustrating is that no matter what I say, what I adjust, what I do, I feel like it changes nothing on the outcome.
And quite frankly, I'm like 10-12 games into the season and I'm completely lost on what I could/should do now, where to look. I should soon get fired (the trust isn't that bad from the board, but Marseille being below 15th place is a definite "get the hell out").
Plus, now I have some unhappy players. One because I refused to let him go (got one single offer, aug 31st, and he is my only striker). Then, recently, 6 players came to tell me they aren't happy with how the club is managed. I thought "cool, they'll tell me what's not going well, and I'll change that". But no, they just told me they weren't happy with how the club was managed...
At first I was being positive toward the players and the medias, then I started being tougher, but nothing happens.
So in the end my question is: when things don't go well, what do you do? Where do you look to make the right changes?
