Is there anybody that can restrain the "moody diva"?

Armin Veh is back!

The rehiring of Veh, 15 months after his surprise decision to leave the club, will have some Eintracht fans full of optimism over the prodigal son’s return, while other supporters might not be quite so quick to forgive their ex-trainer’s decision to jump ship at the end of the 2013/14 season.

Comments he made justifying his choice to leave Frankfurt at the time may also come back to haunt him. “You try everything and do everything possible to establish Eintracht in the Bundesliga. But there are also barriers. And these are not necessarily my goals” Veh said after he left the club back then.

He joined league rivals VFB Stuttgart - his home club - after his spell at Frankfurt only to resign after 3 months.

Despite those remarks, the veteran Bundesliga coach still has plenty of allies at the club and his stock should remain high after his achievements between 2011 and 2014 when he managed to get the club back into the Bundesliga and then straight into the Europa League.

A large part of the current squad are still his players from before and it’s been reported that a number of the more influential members of the squad support him 100%- something that perhaps wasn’t the case under Thomas Schaaf (last season's coach)

Despite the way the marriage ended last time, Veh is now deemed that man.
The 54-year-old still sees himself as a Bundesliga trainer and he quite possibly also feels he has unfinished business at the Commerzbank Arena.

Speaking after his appointment was made official he explained; “Eintracht was and is a special assignment for me. I’ll do everything I can to lead the team into a positive future.”

Whether Veh can take things up where he left them and rediscover that winning formula remains to be seen. One thing is certain though - Eintracht fans will go into next season with a heightened sense of optimism. How long that optimism lasts depends very much on Armin Veh and how he and his team performs during his second coming.

Kevin Trapp leaves Eintracht Frankfurt

Paris Saint-Germain have signed German goalkeeper Kevin Trapp from Eintracht Frankfurt for a reported fee of around €10 million which makes him the most expensive player Frankfurt have ever sold.

The 24-year-old has signed a long-term deal with the Ligue 1 champion, which will keep him at Parc des Princes until 2020.

Trapp, who kept five clean sheets in 22 Bundesliga appearances last season, will provide competition for Salvatore Sirigu in goal of PSG.

While Frankfurt's chairman said that they don't want to block the way for Trapp to join one of the best clubs in the world, Kevin Trapp himself claimed via a video on his Facebook page that "Eintracht and the combined time in Frankfurt will always be something special" for him.

Eintracht Frankfurt announced that the player will get a leave-taking during a Bundesliga game this season.

Quartet leaves Frankfurt as their contracts ran out

Frankfurt announced that they won't hand new contracts to Jan Rosenthal, Alexander Madlung, Felix Wiedwald and Nelson Valdez.
While Rosenthal (Darmstadt) and Wiedwald (Bremen) both joined league rivals, Nelson Valdez prefered a move to the US where he will go on goal-hunt for Seattle Sounders from now on. Alexander Madlung joins 2. Bundesliga side Fortuna Düsseldorf.

Inui joins Eibar

Takashi Inui joins Spanish side SD Eibar for a reported fee of 500.000 euro. The japanese winger joined Frankfurt back in 2012 from VFL Bochum.
After 2 great years in good form, the 27-year old failed to make an impact last season. Most of the fans aren't to concerned about the departure of their winger as they think that Inui isn't good enough for the club anymore.
The japanese-international signed a contract until 2018.

Five new players for Frankfurt

We take a look at Eintracht Frankfurt's first 5 signings of the season.

1) Enis Bunjaki: The 17-year old striker is somebody to watch out. Even though he might not be ready for Bundesliga football yet, he scored 9 goals in 15 goals for Germany's U18 and U19 squads. Although Bunjaki plays for Einracht Frankfurt's youth teams since 2012, he is an officiel member of the club now as he signed a professional contract until 2017 this summer.

2) Stefan Reinartz: The 27-year old defensive midfielder joins Eintracht Frankfurt from Bayer Leverkusen on a free. The German, that can play as a central defender as well, signed a contract until 2017 and will bring experience as well as leadership ino the team.

3) Heinz Lindner: The Austrian goalkeeper joins Eintracht Frankfurt from Austria Wien where he is contract ran out. The 25-year old has big foot-steps to take as he is supposed to be the follower of Kevin Trapp who left the club to play for Paris SG. Heinz Lindner signed a contract until 2017 and will look to get his starting place in the Austrian national team back as the Euros 2016 are just one season away.

4) Yannick Zummack: The 19-year old goalkeeper made the same step as Enis Bunjaki although his contract runs only until 2016. Most people think that the German that was born in Frankfurt won't be able to make his way into the side.

5) Luc Castaignos: The 22-year old striker might be the best signing of the Eagles so far. Frankfurt payed 2.5 million euros for the Dutch striker that scored 10 goals in 29 Erediviese games for Twente last season.The 1.88 meters tall forward signed a contract until 2018.

Good luck mate, have been hoping to see a Frankfurt save for a while now, had a successful career with them on FM15, hopefully you can have similar levels of success.

Frankfurt signs Hradecky

Eintracht Frankfurt has just announced another signing. The Finish goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky signed a contract until 2018 and will give Heinz Lindner, who signed for the club of the mainmetropole only days ago, a great competition for the following of Kevin Trapp in the goal of the SGE. Frankfurt paid a fee of 2 million euros to Brondby IF to get the 1.90 meters tall keeper.

Another 2 signings for Frankfurt

Frankfurt just announced the signings of David Abraham and Mijat Gacinovic. While 28-years old central defender David Abraham, who joins the Frankfurter Eintracht for a fee of 1.5 million euros from Bundesliga rivals Hoffenheim, signed a contract until 2018, 20-years old Gacinovic leaves Vojvodina for a fee of 1.2 million euros to sign until 2019. The Czech’s best position is the left wing from where he scored 11 goals and made 1 assist during 25 appereances in last years SuperLiga competition. Both players will join the first team squad that just arrived in Italy for their pre-season training camp.

Eintracht Frankfurt almost crashed out of the German cup as they failed to win the game during the official 90 minutes. They needed an extra 20 minutes to seal a 4-2 win against Regionalliga Bayern side SpVgg Unterhaching.
Although Armin Veh might have thought that the game will be easier he was happy with the win after the game as he said that „in cup-competition a win is all that matters no matter how you get it“.
There is still much work to do for Armin Veh ahead of next weekend’s Bundesliga kick-off where Frankfurt will face Bremen. Bremen wasn’t able to get away with a poor performance in their cup tie against Regionalliga Südwest side Elversberg (4th division) as Bremen lost in a dramatic extra time by 1 goal to 0.

Bundesliga kick-off

Today, the 53rd Bundesliga season will finally start and there are much questions ahead of it.
Will anybody able to rush Bayern München of their throne? How will Ingolstadt play their first season in the top flight ever? Will the fairy tale of Darmstadt be continued or will they get back on the floor of the lowdown?

With this questions being asked, let the season begin!

1/34: SV Werder Bremen - SG Eintracht Frankfurt

With both teams unsure in which direction their season will go, the sides were anxious to not make a mistake. In a game that lived of it's fight, it were the visitors that got the better end. Alexander Ignjovski gave himself a try in the 56th minute and fired the ball from the edge of the box behind his ex-teammate Felix Wiedwald, who left Frankfurt in Summer. With that goal being scored, the game opened up and Bremen got some shots away. Frankfurt waited for their counter attacking chances and almost got their second goal after substitute Vaclav Kadlec got onto the end of an counter attack but missed the target from inside the box.

Frankfurt will happily take the three points in a game were nobody deserved the win really but with the Derby against Darmstadt coming up, Eintracht Frankfurt will be happy to go with a bid of self-convidence in the big game next Friday. Werder Bremen however will have to take theirselfes together and bounce back from their defeats in the cup and the game today in next weeks Bundesliga clash.

A good result to start the season, it'll be interesting to see if you can aim for a Europa League place as Frankfurt do have some potential!
