Hey there all, i'd like a little clarity on the coaching side of the game club obviously limits the amount of coaches you can have at a club. So i understand what attributes they need to have good stars in each category but what i'm unsure of is the youth coaching should i just have 1 youth coach that has a high training young players attribute or should i set my normal coaches to train the youngsters too, i have specific training routines for each position so i'm a little unsure of whats best.
well usually you can have around max 13 coaches, but you can probably have 16 in the end.

and i like to mix it up, max 2-3 youth trainers, max 2 first team coaches.
2 GK coaches. rest normal coaches(both youth and first team)

and your assistant will be in the training as well.

what i usually look for is coaches with different things.

main things i look at: working with youngsters(if not first team coaches), squad discipline, motivation and determination.

then i mix it up by signing 3-4 all around good coaches which means that they are good coaches for defence and attack etc. they can train everything of course. for the rest i go specific.

and of course i try to get 7 stars in every training.

and i give my coaches just 1 job! that will max out their "stars".

Ok so you get 2-3 youth coaches, do you assign them specific training things each, meaning obviously they have to be good at training youngsters then do they have to be strong at something else like defending then assign that coach to train youngsters at defending??
I think I have said that before...
I don't care about youth coaches at all, since I always decide to manage a weak team where I am not allowed to have more than 8 coaches (best case scenario) and also because general coaches (not first team ones) can do the job for both first team and youth team.
However, if I had the luxury of bringing in some youth coaches, I would definitely care for their statistic on working with youngsters among other stats.

Ok thx for the clarification Stam

yh everyones specific, as i said i dont give them more than 1 job to do. that means that 1 coach does train defence or attack etc etc. only 1.

and on the other hand if u got a good youth team, with good youth facilities and all that, you will get good youngsters over the year, and in the "long period" of a game you will certainly need good youth coaches, especially if u tend to stay at a club kinda "forever"

so in that way you can get your youngsters to reach their maximum PA and sell a few and make some stars.

but yh as stam said, you really dont have to care about the youth if ur gonna be "disloyal" :p

and if u are to get only usual coaches and no youth, then a few of them should have at least "15" in "working with youngsters".
I have a question about the ability of the coaches.
If there there is a coach that has 19 points for tactics training and he has ability of 120 is he a better choice than a coach that has 15 or 16 points for tactics but his ability is around 140-150?
i go for the first one.. the one who's got 19 but 120 in ability..

ye, the 15 or 16 points probably has other stats a bit higher, while the 120 ability has really good tactics...

and for youth coaches i just try to get some over all with good stats in working with yuongsters cause i usually end up with a very young team. But if you have a lower league team it really doesnt matter cause what stam said only 8 coaches possible and thats not allot :)

yh but it depends, i think in some lower league teams u can have 11 coaches.

depends on the team ye, but teams that play in the league 1 or lower or serie C or national leagues in germany/france or second division in spain surely cant have 11 :P.

Unless its a rather big team that demoted on a fluke. Like deportivo will tho if they dont watch it irl hahahhahahaha :D

attribute 19 and CA 120 is better than 15 and CA 140.
it is better to have good coach at the moment because coaches are cheap,so you can sign another every year.
the main thing is when you manage some weak team like team from Coca-Cola League 2 of Coca Cola League 1 you don't need more than 9 coaches.you can do a quite a good job with a 6 coaches.to be honest,i now play in Premier League and i have 12 coaches, and all of them are training first team and youngsters.they have light or average workload so it is not a problem.
