Keep up the good work man

Zhang Linpeng ruled out for two months

Guangzhou right back Zhang Linpeng will be sidelined for a further two months with a fresh injury in his right foot, the midfielder was thought to be in contention to return against Tianjin this month, having not played since sustaining a separate, unrelated heel injury against Chongqing last month.

However, the 25-year-old was hurt during the training session, with a scan later confirming that he had suffered a fracture in his right foot.

The news will come as a crushing set-back to manager Fabio Cannavaro, who currently has no other specialist right back at the club

Linpeng will now undergo minor surgery on Monday, according to the local football news, and will be out for around six to eight weeks.

The Chinese international was said to be desperate to return to the side in time for their Champions League tie in two weeks
Never heard of this dude but it seems like a big loss
@MJK46, hes china's best right back in real life and last season was actually linked with a move to Chelsea and Liverpool, lets just hope they dont come knocking on here :)

May

Chinese Super League

Guangzhou v Fuli We kicked off May with a home against Fuli, it was a match we were fully expected to win and in the end it really was quite easy, Martinez opened the scoring on 18 minutes, before doubling his tally and our lead with with a cooly executed penalty, Gao Lin would make it 3-0 only one minute later which all but ended the match as a contest, but it was to get worse for Fuli when captain Zhang Yaukin put the ball past his own keeper after a teasing cross from Rong Hao, 4-0 it ended

Guangzhou v Beijing Guaon: Beijing Guaon were next for our home double header, and what a win it was as we cruised to a 5-0 win. Jackson Martinez yet again opening the scoring with a goal after 4 minutes, Gao Lin then doubled the lead on 13 minutes, Mei Feng would then make it 3-0 right after the break after a thumping header from a Huang Bowen corner.

Jackson Martinez would then make it 4-0 on 79 minutes after good interplay with Zheng Long before slipping the ball under the goalkeeper, the Colombian hitman would then secure his hattrick on the stroke of fulltime after he was left unmarked at the back post, he couldnt miss from only a couple of yards out

Tianjin v Guangzhou May ended with a defeat against lowly Tianjin who currently sit 11th in the Super League, Fonseca opened the scoring on 4 minutes, Gao Hin then doubled their lead midway through the half as he beat the Guangzhou offside trap to finish cooly past Zeng Cheng. Jackson Martinez would pull one back in the 50th minute but that was all they could muster in a very disappointing 2-1 loss

That loss against Tianjin has dropped us back to second place after Shandong Luneng won 4 from 4 this month, right now they are looking really solid and will probably be our main rivals for the title.
At the end end of the table Chongqing remain rooted to the bottom after losing 2 of 3 this month including a 4-2 loss to Liaoning

Asian Champions League

Matchday 6 resulted in a 3-0 loss to Jeonbuk Motors which means we now finish in second place, we could now face one of the big boys in Asia, while Jeonbuk will get the easier of the draws, ive got a feeling we may be seeing each other deep into the competition

Asian Champions League Second Round Draw

Al Nassr v Lekhwiya

Lokomotiv Toshkent v Al Ahli

Al Shabab v Al Ain

Al Hilal v Teraktor

Beijing Guoan v Jeonbuk Motors

Guangzhou Evergrande v Seoul FC

Seongnam v Suwon

Funabashi Bandits v Shandong Luneng

Good luck in the Champions League, tough draw first up though..
You're absolutely tearing up teams with that goal difference! Well done on qualifying for the next round of the Champions League, a tough draw though :P

June

Chinese Super League

Guangzhou v Jiangsu: Three months in a row now we have kicked off a month by scoring 3 or more goals, this time Jiangsu were on the receiving end. Jackson Martinez opened the scoring on 7 minutes with a towering header, Goulart then doubled the lead right on the stroke of halftime.
despite being 2-0 up the break we continued to press hard for a goal and it came in the 59th minute after a beautiful cross from Zhang Linpeng fell straight into the path of Paulinho who buried the shot into the roof of the net. 3-0 it remained

Guangzhou v Guizhou Renhe: Zhou Jun gave Renhe an early lead after a mix up at the back left him through on his own to slide the ball under Wang Dalei, though it was all Guangzhou in the first half we could not find an equaliser until right on halftime when Goulart pounced on a fumble from the Renhe keeper after a vicious shot from Paulinho.

all Guangzhou's dominance would count for nothing though as Renhe took the lead with only minutes on the clock, Linfeng rose highest from a corner by Hyuri to give the away side the lead and give Guangzhou their third loss of the campaign

Shanghai Shenhua v Guangzhou: Guangzhou needed to bounce back and they did with a 3-0 win against Shenhua who have struggled for any kind of consistency this season, Gao Lin opened the scoring with a goal in the 4th minute, he would then double the lead on the half hour mark with a typically well placed header, Zheng Long was then fouled in box 5 minutes from full time, Gao Lin stepped up and outdone the goalkeeper with the cheekiest panenka penalty to earn himself the hattrick and the matchball

The Chinese Super League is quickly becoming a two horse race with ourselves and Shandong Luneng now 5 points ahead of 3rd place Jiangsu. Shandong had a fairly good month recording two wins and a draw which included an impressive 3-1 win over Shanghai Shenhua.

Hangzhou have replaced Shenxin at the bottom of the standings are losing 3 of their 4 matches during June

Our Asian Champions League dream is over for another year as we were comprehensively beaten by Seoul, we can have no complaints though cause the South Koreans were simply too good, we will be back next season and begin our assault once more
Sad to see you out of the Champions League so early... going to have to focus on competing with Shandong now...
Good to see you well up there with that very strong goal difference at this mid-point of the season. As for the Champions League, it was always going to be tough against such an experienced Seoul team who've done very well over the years. Always next year!
To be knocked out of the Champions League must have been disappointing but hopefully you can push for the title in the league now.
