Chelsea v Newcastle United: We began the EPL season away to Chelsea and it only took the current champions 18 minutes to get the defence of their title underway via a great freekick from Willian, Diego Costa then doubled Chelsea's lead only 13 minutes later thanks to DIego Costa and by this stage, Chelsea looked to be cruising.
Mitrovic had other ideas though as he bullied Gary Cahill of the ball after a slide rule pass from Shelvey, to finish cooly past Courtois. The comeback was complete when Wijnaldum converted from the spot after a poor tackle frm Matic on Townsend.

Newcastle v Manchester City: our first home game of the season couldnt have gotten off to a worse start when Kolarov fired in a freekick from over 30 yards out that left Krul rooted to the spot, Aguero would make it 2-0 on 41 minutes, Aguero then doubled his tally after a real poachers goal after some great buildup play from Sterling, Sterling then popped up 6 minutes later with a smart header.

Wijnaldum gave the home fans something to cheer about when he was left unmarked in the box and was left with the easiest of finishes, but that meant nothing as Aguero would then make it 5-1, completing his hattrick in the process.

Everton v Newcastle United: Everton were easily the best side at Goodison park and were never threatened as they ran out 2-0 winners, goals from Aaron Lennon and Mirallas giving the merseyside club all 3 points

Newcastle United v Arsenal: We came flying out of the gates at home against the Gunners with Shelvey giving us the lead from the spot after a foul by Bellerin on De Jong, Wijnaldum made it 2-0 only 8 minutes later with a classy finish to leave the home fans ecstatic, Arsenal did pull one back in the 38th minute through Olivier Giroud to give the away side the momentum going into the break.

The second half began just like first, Doumbia providing the coolest of finishes to end a great piece of buildup play from the home side, but thats as good as it got, Arsenal scored the next 4 goals, Giroud got his second on 61 minutes before Ozil leveled the match, Santi Cazorla would then give Arsenal the lead with 6 minutes remaining with an open header, only for Walcott to make it 5 with second remaining.

Barclays Premier League Table

After the first month of the season we currently sit third from bottom, level on points with West Ham and Leicester City, we are not to disheartened by our position though as we have had probably the hardest possible draw to start the season off.
Manchester United currently lead the pack with 12 points, closely followed by fierce rivals Manchester City, current holder Chelsea sit 6th with 8 points from their 4 matches

September Fixtures

First up we travel to Upton Park to face the Hammers who are currently level us points with us in the relegation zone, we then travel to Villa Park to face Aston Villa who are sit 15th after 2 draws and 2 losses.

Crystal Palace will be our final fixture of the month at St James Park
Horrible month in terms of the amount of goals conceded, though it was always going to be tough. Hopefully you can get some results against some of the smaller clubs :)
The loss against Arsenal would have been tough to take, horror opening month of fixtures... hopefully this doesn't hurt your team heading into the easier fixtures!

Newcastle United sell two as transfer window slams shut

Yoann Gouffran and Gabriel Obertan have parted ways with Newcastle United after the club accepted offers from Reading and Crystal Palace respectively, both were deemed surplus to reqiurements by Steve McClaren who is looking to build his squad for the future in the coming windows

Newcastle United accepted bids of $7m (Gouffran) and $2.1m (Obertan) in the final hours before the window slammed shut, with both players passing medicals without any issue, Obertan will be earning close to $32k p/w at Reading while Gouffran will set Crystal Palace back $63k a week.
On his arrival at Crystal Palace to complete his medical, Gouffran had this to say "im really looking forward to playing under Alan Pardew again and show everyone why they (Crystal Palace) spend the money to bring me in, i cannot wait to get underway".

Gabriel Obertan wasnt so keen to talk about the prospects of playing for his new club (Reading), "My time at Newcastle was frustrating as i had a succession of bad injuries and could never fulfill my potential, ill be using my move to Reading to prove what im capable of doing, i plan to be playing in the top flight next season"
Eventually they've gone, stealing a wage at Newcastle in real life :P Good fees for them as well.
Mate harsh on my lad Gabriel.. haha some good buisness done there!

September

Results

West Ham v Newcastle United: September kicked off with an away clash against the Hammers, both sides looked more than happy to play for the point rather then push for the win and risk getting caught on the break, and because of this, there were only 7 shots on goal in the 90 minutes in a very dull 0-0 draw

Aston Villa v Newcastle United: Up next was a trip to Villa Park against fellow strugglers Aston Villa. Aleksander Mitrovic gave Newcastle the lead in the 20th minute, but scores were level again 11 minutes later when Coloccini put the ball past Tim Krul, Westwood's cross came flying in the the Newcastle captain had no time to react, the away side regain the lead though in the 68th minute through Moussa Sissoko who had broken the offside trap and beat Guzan at his near post,

Doumbia then put the icing on the cake with minutes remaining with a delicate header which found the bottom corner

Newcastle United v Crystal Palace: A 1-1 draw with Palace rouded out the month, Newcastle could and should have won this game but their strikers will have to take the blame through their wasted opportunities.

Doumbia did give the home side the lead though early on, only for Adebayor to equalise midway through the first half, and thats the way it stayed as it finished one apiece

Barclays Premier League Table

We managed to stay unbeaten throughout September which is great compared to the previous month, weve moved up four spots in the ladder and are now also 4 points clear of the relegation zone.
Manchester City are now ahead of the pack after 3 straight wins in September against Leicester, Stoke and Southampton, WBA are rooted to the bottom with the solitary point .

Good comeback after the first month, well done!
Nice improvement man!! Keep it up.
really liking the updates man, they look class and its great that the results have picked up!

October

Results

Leicester City v Newcastle United: We traveled to King Power Stadium first up in October, Mitrovic gave Newcastle the lead in the 22nd minute, it didnt last long though as Mahrez equaised only two minutes later, Jonjo Shelvey then restored Newcastle's lead on the stroke of halftime.
The visitors extended their lead further only 8 minutes into the second half when Wijnaldum released a snapshot that caugt Schmeichel unawares and whistled into the bottom corner, but Leicester would not lie down and did pull a goal back in the 62nd minute through Okazaki, then amazingly leveled the game only one minute later, 3-3 it finished.

Newcastle United v Stoke City: We welcomed Stoke to St James Park next as both sides searched for a much needed win, only two minutes had passed when Mitrovic had given Newcastle the lead, it was Mitrovic again only one minute later as the big Serb was felled in the box, he stepped up and buried the resulting penalty.

Imbula would make it 2-1 in the 83rd minute to give Stoke fans some belief but that was quickly sqaushed as Papiss Cisse, who was making his return from injury clinched victory for the home side.

Southampton v Newcastle United : October was rounded off with a 1-0 loss to Southampton at St Mary's, Newcastle were never in this match and were outplayed from start to finish, it did look as though Newcastle were about to grab a hard earned point until Jay Rodriguez was found umarked at the back post as the away defence fell asleep and let the striker in for a simple finish

Barclays Premier League Table

1 win, 1 loss and a draw is how we ended up at the end of the month and that has seen us move up to positions to 13th, Manchester United have taken over City at the top after taking 5 points from a possible 9.
West Brom are still rooted to the foot of the table and are yet to pick up their first win of the season

Get in the top half and you're really challenging there :)
