Do you guys have any good choices or am I just as well of Playing with Wingers?
As long as a player is accomplished at that position there should be no noticable difference against someone who is a natural. It basically just means that although the player is a born winger for example, they are just as adept at filling a left midfield slot. That said, an attacking outside midfielder will usually play as a winger whether you put him at left midfield or left attacking midfield as he wont usually have many attributes to adequately assist defensively.
World Class left midfielder?
One of the best I know is Juan Manuel Vargas from Fiorentina.
FM10 has moved him from being a natural at LB/WB/LM to just natural at
left midfield although he is competant further back. Thus he's useful as he can perfectly slot in at left back if you need him too.
He has fantastic all round stats. Most important is his ability to cross well, and hes amazing at deadball situations which make him ideal for free kicks, corners AND penalties. He is about 26 which is a great age for a footballer, he's physically fit, strong, great going forward and more than adequate defensively.
Not many better on the left in my opinion.
