Eugenio Uggeri Rise to the top

This was my first proper match as Swansea City manager and we were playing a 4-3-3 with a CDM for most of the games this season. In the first minute Gomis had an amazing long shot from about 23 Yards out that went in to give us the lead and in the 35th minute Siguardson took a free kick from around about the same distance and scored to make it 2-0 at half time. West Brom were a lot better in the second half and Morison reduced the deficit and Berahino scored two minutes later to make it 2-2. So I made some changes bringing on King for his debut, and what a great sub he was. In the 85th minute King got on the end of an Angel Rangel cross to make it 3-2 and wins us the game.

Match two of the season was against Spurs at home. We played a unchanged squad after we did well in the first game. In the 8th minute Jefferson Montero did an amazing run getting taken down in the box by Alderwield to give us a penalty. Ayew was the one to take it and he Narrowly put it past Lloris and scored 1-0. Spurs almost got back in the game instantly but it wasn’t until the 71st minute when little Son somehow managed to out-jump Balanta to score from a corner and it ended 1-1.

This match was so boring I don’t know what im going to write about. Apart from Ayew hitting the post nothing really happened. Leicester got on the counter a lot but wasted their chances and if I can find the real stats of this game I will show you in a later update.

This match saw me lose my first competitive game of my career against Championship Brighton. I rested a lot of players in this match as it was a Capital One Cup match a competition that the board doesn’t care about. And it proved to cost us as Angel Rangel made a terrible error giving the ball straight to James Wilson who easily put the ball past Nordveit 1-0. So I made a change and put Barrow on as an Inside forward and this helped us a lot as he did a great run and won us a corner in the 90th minute. The cross came in and Jordi Amat got on the end of it to make it 1-1. We tried to take this confidence from the goal into extra time as it cost us as Brighton caught us on the counter and Jamie Murphy scored to win the game 2-1.
