After Hurd's announcement at the club, the press quickly arrived at the Stadion Rujevica to interview the new man:
Press: It's not often we see a manager from England abroad, what made you want to take this job over staying in your homeland?
Hurd: I believe I can completely build this club from the ground up and turn them into a dominant force in European Football and we have the benefit of being backed by a chairman who's willing to invest to make this club great.
Press: How do you plan on turning a small club from Croatia into a dominant force in Europe?
Hurd: Well the previous manager did a great of getting this club into the Europa league and I thank him for that and wish to carry on his success, but I plan to focus on the youth development side of the game, this club has some fantastic facilities and I want to put them to good use.
Press: At the age of 20, don't you think you're a bit too young to be a manager?
Hurd: I am fully confident in my ability as a manager and have been fully assured by the board that they have full faith in my ability as a manager.
Press: What can we expect to see from you in the transfer market?
Hurd: I'm not willing to discuss that at this time, but we have a lot of young and exciting talent we look to bring in, that is all I will say on the matter.
Press: That is all from us at this time, thank you Alex
Hurd: Thank you.
