High quantity of cards shown?

In my FM08 game, playing the English Premier League as Chelsea, I've found that the referee's are more strict than in any other football managing simulation game I have played.

As of January 1st 2008, the following cards have been shown in the English Premier Division:

43 Red Cards
691 Yellow Cards

Now, that is quite a lot, do you not agree? :O_o

During the week I'll have news from Greek Superleague regarding the cards :wink

it could be because of your tackling tactics or your player's dirtyness rating.
