
Northern Irishman to become youngest manager in Europe
French second division side Clermont Foot have announced the signing of 25-year old Northern IrIishman Rueben Ross; whose only previous role was with Randers FC in Denmark as an assistant to Englishman Colin Todd.Clermont are no strangers to the headlines after appointing women managers in Helena Costa and the Corinne Diacre. Ross is succeeding Diacre after she guided Clermont to a mediocre 12th place finish.

So who is Rueben Ross?
Ross was born in Nottingham, England on 3rd June 1990. He moved to Belfast just a year later and that’s where his brief playing career started. He joined Cliftonville FC aged 12 and stayed with them for another 6 years where he had to retire after a re-occurring knee injury. After studying at Loughborough Uni. he decided to go and get his UEFA C/B licences, this is where he met Colin Todd. Todd promised Ross that as soon as he gets his UEFA A license he can come and join his coaching staff at Randers Football Club who ply their trade in the top tier of Danish football, as of today he has been there since 2013.
