Bristol Rovers Christmas Party

I locked my car by turning the key in the lock. I placed my keys back inside my trouser pocket before checking my phone for any text messages or missed calls I had received. After training this morning, I had headed home and dressed smartly in my Bristol Rovers suit and tie, which consisted of a blue tie, a white polo shirt with a black waistcoat and black trousers.

I had washed my hair before heading out this evening before combing it back so it looked neater than being all over the place like it usually was. I spotted one of my best mates within the first team, Sonny Parker, getting out his car so I jogged over to meet him.

Me and Sonny walked toward the players' entrance. The steward on the door, Dave, shook our hands in greeting. "Your up in the executive suite, boys" Dave said and a young woman, by the name of Chloe, escorted us both upstairs to the executive suite. Chloe kindly held the door open for us and we thanked her upon entering the suite.

Upon walking into the executive suite, we could see that we were the first players upon arrival. However, we weren't the first ones to arrive. Manager Ray Graydon and his wife were the first ones to arrive at the Christmas party. Next up to arrive was goalkeeper Ryan Clarke and his girlfriend.

I walked up to the bar, where a beautiful young woman by the name of Abi served me. "What can I get you, handsome?" Abi asked. "Can I just get an ordinary bottle of champagne?" I asked her nicely. Abi pulled a cold bottle of champagne from the fridge before uncorking the bottle and grabbing a glass from behind her.

Abi poured me a glass of champagne before handing it to me. "Thanks. How much do I owe you?" I asked Abi as she put the cap back on the bottle and slid me the bottle. "£4.00 please" Abi said. I pulled my wallet from my jacket pocket before taking a fiver from it and handing it to Abi. Abi put the money in the till before handing me a pound back.

As the executive suite began to fill up with people, me and my team-mates all started to hang around in the corner of the room. All of the WAGs in the room seemed to be talking to one another in the other corner, while the coaching staff and the board of directors were all mixing together somewhat.

I continued to drink some more champagne with my team-mates and we were all enjoying ourselves at the moment. I caught myself staring at the barmaid behind the bar, Abi. I suddenly felt a sudden poke in the ribs and turned around to find Sonny and Ryan smiling at me.

"Everything ok Liam?" Sonny asked, continuing to smirk at me. "Yeah. Least, I think everything's ok" I said. "You like the barmaid don't you?" Ryan asked me cheerfully. I smiled weakly at the pair. "Yeah. I do. She's stunning" I replied.

"Go for it mate" Ryan said, trying to encourgae me to talk to Abi behind the bar. I turned to look toward Abi, and I was pleased to see that she was staring back at me. I then turned back to look at my two best friends.

"Do you really think she's my type?" I asked the pair of them. "Yeah. She's a few years younger than you but your be ok I guess" Sonny said. "Alright. I'rr go for it" I replied, handing my glass to Ryan as I slinked off to talk with Abi. "Hi" I said to her as she looked at me approaching. "Hi. What's your name by the way?"Abi asked me. "I'm Liam" I replied. "Oh cool. I'm Abi" she said, exchanging her hand, which I shook. `"Nice to meet you, Abi" I replied.

"So, are you single?" I asked Abi. "Yeah, I am. I like being single but don't like being it at the same time if you get what I mean" Abi said. "Yeah. I completley understand what you mean" I say, smiling at Abi. "How old are yoiu?" she asks. "I'm 24. How old are you?" I ask her. "I'm 21 Abi says, touching my hand as she says this.

"Are you on the look out for another guy?" I ask Abi as she smiles at me tentatively. Abi looks down at the bar before looking back up into my eyes. I could see that her eyes were now bright green, with her long, blonde hair sweeped across the front of her face as she continued to bore into my soul.

"Yeah. Yeah, I am on the lookout for another guy Liam" Abi says calmly, continuing to not let go of my hand. "So have you ever wanted to be a footballers WAG, Abi?" I ask her enquiringly. "Well, yes I have actually. I once dated David Beckham for a bit at school but we never took off" Abi said.

"Ah. David Beckham eh? I've played for England with him before" I explain. "Do you want to come outside for a few minutes? Get some fresh air?" I ask Abi. "Sure" Abi replied before following me out of the executive suite and down the flight of stairs, leading to the players entrance.

4th December 2003-9:13PM

Me and Abi stepped out into the cold, wintery air of Bristol. I could feel the cold breeze sweep across my face as I stood there, with Abi facing opposite me.

Abi pulled a lighter and a cigarette from her bag before putting the cigarette in her mouth and lighting it with yhe lighter.

Abi took the cigarette out of her mouth before puffing out a puff of smoke and speaking. "Do you want a fag?" Abi asks me, taking another puff of smoke.

"Er...No, I can't. I'm a professional footballer. Sorry Abi" I reply tentatively. Abi takes another puff of smoke before smiling at me.

"Well. My shift is now over. And I need to get home to have some food" Abi says to me. "Ok" I say, quickly scrawling my number down onto a piece of paper and handing it to Abi.

"There's my number. Maybe we can meet up another time?" I ask enquiringly.

"Yeah. I would like that. But I better be off" Abi says, giving me a kiss on the cheek before walking off round the corner.

I smile before walking off inside. After taking a few steps toward the stairs inside the stadium, I hear a sudden scream from outside.

"HELP.GET OFF ME" I hear the girl shout and I quickly walk outside. The sight there shocks me. I see a hooded man wrench Abi's bag from her hands as she attempts to fight him for it.

Abi falls to the floor, which looks painful as the man picks the bag up from the floor.

The man begins to sprint off and luckily, he sprinted past me so I was able to see everything that was happening.

Instinctively, I look at a motionless Abi laid on the floor before looking at the man, who was a good few yards ahead of me now.

"OI. GET BACK HERE NOW" I shout at the top of my voice, forcing the man to instinctively look back at me as I begin to give chase.

I was using all the pace I had gained throughout my footballing career to try and catch this one man who had robbed someone I had met a mere couple of hours ago.

The man sped across the road, with the bag still clutched tightly in his hand. I wasn't going to give up chase just yet.

But being the complete idiot I was, I didn't check for any oncoming cars. I felt the pain shoot through my legs upon impact.

I felt myself being thrown onver the bonnet of the car, which was red hot due to the engine being on. I landed on the floor, with pain soaring through my legs. Then everything went dark.

I opened my eyes as slowly as I could. Upon opening, my eyes stung as I looked up into the light which was shining above me. I calmly blinked to try and be able to gather my surroundings.

I could hear two pairs of voices next to me. "Is he going to be ok?" I heard a woman's voice say. "We better hope so" said another man's voice. I lifted my head up a few inches to see who I was in the company of.

I immediately flopped back down onto the pillow, causing the man and the woman to look at me in shock and joy at the same time. "Get a doctor. Quick" the woman said and I heard the man run off in search of a doctor.

I then felt the woman take my hand in hers. "Liam. It's Abi here. Thanks for helping me the other night" Abi said. I turned my face to look at hers. "What happened?" I ask her, still dazzed and confused.

"I was mugged. You witnessed the incident. You chased after the man who mugged me. But you got hit by a car Liam" Abi explained to me as I tried to take in this information. "Are you ok?" I ask Abi as I look at the banage around her head.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. I just took a nasty bump to the head when I got pushed to the ground, that's all" Abi says. I look into Abi's eyes and in the spur of the moment, I kiss her on the lips and I'm happy to know that Abi doesn't push me away.

Me an Abi immediately let go of eachother's lips when the sound of my curtain was pulled back by the doctor. I was also pleased to know that one of my best mates, Ryan Clarke, was also on the scene.

I struggled to lift myself up so I could face the doctor sat up straight. But with Abi's help, I was able to o it. I looked at Abi, remembering our kiss a few moments ago, and thanked her.

"So what's the verdict doctor?" I ask him nervously as Abi and Ryan pulled up chairs to sit by my side. Abi grabbed my hand to try and calm me down if the verdict wasn't one I liked.

"Well, the news isn't all bad but it isn't all good either. Upon impact, you broke your leg in 3 different places. You had an emergency operation to try and correct your leg and it's good news to say the operation was a success".

"Ah right. That's a good thing right?" I reply cautiously, trying to digest the doctor's news. But I wasn't prepared for the next part. "Liam, being a professional footballer, I understand that you want to play every game for your club and country".

"However, due to where you broke your leg and the severity of the injury, it is very unlikely that you will be playing within the next year" the doctor said. I could feel someone crying at those last words. "I'm so sorry" the doctor said before departing.

"I'rr leave you two to talk" Ryan said before departing after the doctor. Abi pulled me close toward her before hugging me to try and keep me calm. "It's going to be ok, Liam" Abi said as I sobbed quietly into her chest.

"Listen, Liam. On crutches, you ain't going to be able to handle the stairs at your place. And you live alone so that doesn't help at all. And I live alone so why don't you move in with me until your leg's fully healed?" Abi suggests.

I pull myself away form her chest before looking at her and smiling. "Yeah. Yeah. I would like that" I reply before hugging her properly. As I take in the smell of Abi's expensive perfume, I smile to myself at Abi's kindness toward me.

u]7th January 2004

It was the day before my 25th birthday. It was hard to think that come tomorrow, I would be half a century old. I was currently sat in the executive suite at the club with my new girlfriend, barmaid Abi, stood behind the bar.

"How's the leg feeling?" Abi asked me caringly. "Umm" I ponder, staring at my knee, still heavily covered in plaster. "It's feeling ok. I did feel something earlier in my leg but I think that was just because I moved it a bit too heavily" I replied.

"Ah. That's really good babe. It's progress that you were able to feel your leg again" Abi says, touching my hand softly. "What time are you going to watch the team at training?" Abi asked me as she released my hand from hers.

"I'm going down now. They are due to start soon" I reply. "Do you want any help getting downstairs" Abi asked me kindly again. "Yes plase" I reply. Abi grabs my crutches from her side of the bar before walking around the bar and handing me the crutches.

I slipped my hand into the left crutch and then into the right crutch before Abi helped me get to my feet. Abi took me by the elbow as she began to lead me across the executive suite.

Abi opened the door up for me and I hobbled out on the crutches. Abi let the door swing shut behind us before she took me by the arm again and helped to lead me down the stairs and then let go when we reached the bottom.

Abi led me through the corridors throughout The Memorial Stadium before she led me through some side doors near the changing rooms of the main stadium and then continued to lead me through another corridor.

This corridor was around a two minute walk for you to see anything or anyone unles someone was leaving or entering the complex. This corridor led to the training complex, which consisted of changing rooms, training pitches, a media room, a physio room and a gym.

I got to the boot rooom, which was where all the boots were kept by the kitmen for all the players and coaches in every major department at the club. Abi helped me get outside before she gave me a kiss on the cheek, wished me goodbye and wandered back inside.

I then saw Sonny Parker walking out of the boot room and he smiled at me. "Alright, Liam. Sorry I ain't come and visited you buddy. I've just been really busy with training, gym work and things like that" Sonny said, exclaiming why he hadn't come to visit me.

"That's alright mate. I truly do understand why you ain't been able to visit me. How are you holding at the moment?" I asked Sonny. "I'm doing quite well actually as it happens. The football's been getting great these past couple of weeks" Sonny replied.

"You been playing well then?" I ask him confidently. "Yeah. I've got a good run in the team as it goes.I've been strong defensively and that's what I want to be doing for the rest of the season" Sonny said.

"Come on. I'rr walk with you to the pitch" I say as Sonny takes a long gulp from his water bottle in his right hand before nodding at me, indicating for me to lead the way. I swivel around to face the pitches before begining to hobble toward the pitches as Sonny slowly walked alongside me.

"So what did the doctor say about your leg when you first broke it?" Sonny asked me cautiously. "He said that I'm likely to not be playing again for at least a year after I broke it" I said. Just repeating the doctor's words was bringing back painful memories to the forefront of my brain.

"Ah man. That's gutting for you" Sonny said compassionately as I stole a glance at him, and I could tell by the emotion shown etched into his face that he must have shown some feelings for how bad my injury was. Sonny walked over toward the training dugout with me, before helping me into a seat. "See you in a bit bud" Sonny said as he clapped me on the shoulder and ran off to begin training.

I placed my crutches down onto the floor next to me as I watched the team pass the ball around. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a group of people stood by the entrances to the training pitches. I recognised Press Officer Keith, who was accompanied by a group of people.

Keith then caught eyes with me and led his group over toward me. "Now, everyone, this is winger Liam Drury. As you can see, he is currently injured with a broken leg. Liam, this is our daily group" Keith said.

Photographer Sharon then came over, camera in her hand. "Can I quickly get a picture of the kids with Liam please?" Sharon asked. "Course" I replied joyfully and the 5 kids amongst the group all sat next to me. I smiled for the camera with my arms around the two older kids as the camera clicked away. I then signed some footballs, some scarfs and some shirts for the kids before they went away. So this was the dream of being a professional footballer.

25th June 2004

The car I was travelling in pulled up outside the Academy Of Light. I carefully got out of the passenger side, with myself still in crutches, and my driver ran around the car to help me along.

The Academy Of Light was Sunderland AFC's training facillities. This was the first season that Sunderland had trained here and I could say that the centre looked very nice.

I hobbled into reception, where the managing director, Lee, was waiting for me. Me and Lee exchanged hands before he showed me through a side door and down a corridor.

I entered the small room, where there was a desk, a TV on the wall and some filing cabinets. Lee pulled a chair up for me and I gracefully sat down in it as he opened up some drawers in the filing cabinet.

If you hadn't had guessed already, today was the day I was signing for Sunderland.

Lee pulled a piece of paper from the cabinet before sliding the drawer shut and sitting down in a chair next to me. Lee slid the piece of paper in front of me and handed me a pen.

The club photographer, Beth, then walked into the room as Lee was explaining to me the rules of my contract and where I had to sign.

Lee directed me to the areas that I had to sign and I signed on the duration of my contract, the rules of my contract, the weekly pay I get and the overall signing of the contract.

I then looked up at the camera as Beth clicked away happily, before Lee put his arm around me, where we both smiled for the camera clicking away a few metres from us.

Lee then pulled a Sunderland shirt from the bag next to him before showing me out of the door and up the stairs before walking down the corridor toward the manager's office.

Me and Lee both entered the office, where Mick McCarthy was sat on the end of his desk, waiting for me. Me and Mick calmly exchanged hands before Mick showed me onto his balcony.

Lee handed the shirt to me and Mick, where we held it up for the camera and Beth clicked away again as me and Mick smiled together.

Beth then thanked us for the photos before heading back inside. I thanked Mick for signing me and for having the faith in my abillity before he handed me the shirt, with number 8 on it.

I smiled to myself as Lee showed me downstairs and out of the reception doors. I thanked the managing director before I climbed into the car with my driver there, who reversed out of his parking spot, ready to take me home.

I strapped my splint on to my leg as I rested my leg on the bench pushed up against the wall. I put my leg-freshener spray back into my gym bag as the Sunderland fitness coach, Tom, came over to me and put his arm around me.

"Everything ok, Liam?" Tom asked me, as I made sure the splint was secure enough to protect my recently broken leg from any more damage. I pushed my long, blonde hair away from my eyes before looking up at Tom.

"Yeah. Yeah, the leg's fine. I was just tightening the splint, that's all" I replied calmly. "Good. Just don't push yourself too hard. Let's go out onto the pitch" Tom said, leading me through the door at the back of the gym.

Me and Tom walked down a gravel pathway, which led through to the training pitches at Sunderland's training centre, the Academy Of Light. I had been at the club for just over 2 months already but hadn't played a game yet due to a leg break I suffered late last year.

I could see the rest of the Sunderland first team training over on the far side of the pitch. I thought to myself that it should be me training over there with them. But here I was, being put through my paces by the ever-reliable fitness coach.

"Come on then, Liam" Tom said to me and he immediately began to lead me around the outside of the pitch on a small jog. In my Sunderland training gear, I could immediately feel the sweat pouring down my face in the boiling heat up north.

Tom led me around to the goal on the far side before making me jump over some hurdles at a slow pace before stepping through the rungs in a ladder and then zig-zagging through some poles that had been stuck in the ground.

I did this over and over until my legs were barely able to function properly in the sweltering heat as the sun looked down on the training ground. Tom certainly knew how to try and improve someone's fitness.

At the end of the session, I took my right shoe off before taking the splint off, which stank of sweat from my leg, and put my right shoe back on before picking the splint up and heading back inside after a morning of hard fitness work.

1st December 2004

The ball landed at my feet. I controlled the ball with my right foot, my splint having finally came off, and I delightfully played the ball back to the original passer, Julio Arca. It was such a good feeling to have been given the all clear from the doctors just last week and now I was back kicking a ball.

Julio Arca played the ball back to me along the floor and I controlled it with my left, bringing it onto my right before drilling it back into the feet of Arca. I then got a call from behind from Grant Leadbitter and as I turned, I had a matter of seconds to realise the ball was being played to me along the ground.

I played it straight back to Grant first-time with my left foot and I immediately turned to my left, where another shout had been made by Dean Whitehead. I shifted the ball onto my right before playing the ball back to Dean and a few seconds after, I nodded a ball down to Julio for him to control on his weaker left foot.

This had just been our warm-up to our extensive training for today, and before long manager Mick McCarthy had made his way out onto the pitch, with his Sunderland tracksuit on, a long, puffy coat pulled over himself to protect his body from the bitter cold and a whistle slung around his neck to break play up when needed.

Mick called us in by blowing on his whistle three times, to get our attention immediately. We all jogged over to where Mick was stood, and we all gathered into one tight group as Mick placed his foot on a ball and kicked it away from the group. "Right. Christmas is approaching and I know all you lot are focused on making it a memorable one for your families".

"But let's make this a memorable Christmas period for this team, for this club and for especially all of you as football players. We are top of the league by 5 points at this stage. And I want to keep it that way" Mick said.

Mick then led us over toward the goals that had been set up for our training game. "Right lads, from this exercise I want to see the way you pass the ball between yourselves against the opposition. I want to see how you all manage to open up the opposition's defence and how you defend against them" Mick explained to us, clearly defining what he wanted from us in this little game.

Mick then split us up into four teams. My team was first to take to the pitch against another team, which consisted of players like Liam Lawrence, Grant Leadbitter and Julio Arca.

Mick rolled the ball into the centre and I immediately got stuck into the action by jinking past the very limp challenge of Lawrence. I found the run of Gary Breen with a run out on the left wing before I drifted up to take a position up top, playing off of Marcus Stewart.

I was feeling confident, feeling that I had a point to prove to my fellow team-mates and especially my manager, Mick McCarthy, who was seeing me in a training session for the first time ever today. I was enjoying myself, kicking a football for the first time in months today.

My side were advancing towards goal slowly with the ball on the left with Sean Thornton. Sean picked his head up as I dropped away from my marker, Liam Lawrence, and Sean drilled the ball in towards me. I could feel the hands of Lawrence over me as he attempted to put me off from controlling the ball. However, I was able to turn Lawrence far too easily.

But as I turned my man, I felt my knee suddenly give way underneath me and I collapsed to the floor. I let out a scream as my body hit the soft ground. I could hear the fitness coach, Tom, run straight toward me and bend down toward me, with manager Mick McCarthy doing the same. As soon as I had returned from injury, I had only gone and suffered another injury.
ouch! doesn't sound like a good time for you! hopefully this one is quick to recover from!

Really great writing though mate, loving this

3rd December 2004

So here I was again. I was yet again, out injured. The day I had got back training with my new club, Sunderland, I had snapped my ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) and now I had a long but hopefully worthwhile recovery period of 5 months. With Sunderland currently topping the table, I wanted to play some point in what was appearing to be a hopefully memorable season.

I was currently lying in a hospital bed, with a brace over my knee and my crutches next to the bed so I could use them whenever I had to go toilet and do things like that. The seat next to me was currently empty, but I expected my girlfriend, Abi, to be back soon.

Abi suddenly came back, with a cup of coffee contained in a tight cup with a lid, in her left hand. Abi pulled the curtain across to shield us both from prying eyes, considering I was a professional footballer.Abi placed her cup down on the bedside cabinet next to me before settling down into the chair next to me.

"So what have you done this time?" Abi asked me enquiringly. I hadn't told Abi about my injury until this morning, because I didn't want to worry her and get her into a panic. "I've snapped my ACL" I said. "What does that stand for?" Abi asked me. "It stands for Anterior Cruciate Ligament. It helps support the knee when standing up" I explained.

"That's terrible" Abi said sympathetically, taking my hand in hers and squeezing it tightly. "Everything's going to be ok" she says, looking at me in fear of what I might say next. "It's not going to be ok. This could be the end of my football career" I say, feeling tears begin to slide down my cheek as I thought of the worst possible outcome.

"Heh. Liam, don't think like that ok. You are at an amazing club who have some of the best physios in the league, some of the best coaches in England and your here saying your football career is over? It's not over Liam. It's only just begun" Abi said feistily, I looked over at Abi. "What would I do without you?" I ask her as she smiles at me.
This is a seriously hart wrenching story mate aha! Hopefully Liam Dury can make a return to the big time :)

6th February 2005

I strolled through the double doors of the Sunderland training ground, the Academy Of Light, before wandering over toward the training pitches. My knee had become stronger in recent weeks, with myself being able to walk unassisted now. But with myself not availabkle to train just yet, I had taken quite an interest in the youth teams.

The time was 5:15PM, and I walked out to the youth pitches to watch the U14s train before their league clash against Arsenal U14's at the weekend. I walked up to U14's coach, Brian, who was dressed in his Sunderland training gear, as he watched his lads pass the ball around. "How are things going, Brian?" I asked him as I stood beside him.

"Things are going quite well, Liam. The lads are looking sharp in my opinion and they all look hungry to try and prove a point on the weekend. How's the knee doing?" he asked me. I looked down at my knee. "It's doing well. I should be back and ready to at least take part in pre-season" I replied confidently.

Over the past few weeks, I had taken quite an interest in the U14's and become friends with Brian as I had helped him out with a few training sessions recently. I could see a bit of myself in one certain player, and that player was named Ryan Noble. At the age he was, Ryan was versatile, being able to play up front or on the wings.

The kid had impressed me recently and I was keen to take him under my wing. "Listen, Brian. Ryan's a really good player and I could see a bit of myself in him. Do you mind if I take him away for a few one-to-one training sessions?" I asked politely. "Yeah, sure" Brian replied, patting me on the shoulder.

Brian glanced at his watch before blowing his whistle and calling the boys in to him. "Right, boys. You've done well tonight. Go and get changed" Brian said and all the boys strode off toward the changing room. "Ryan Noble. Can I have a word?" I shouted after him. Ryan turned around and jogged over to me.

"Well played today, kid. Got quite a right foot on you from what I've seen" I said. "Thanks" the 13 year-old said, happy at having been complimented by a first team player. "I've had a chat with your manager. I can see a bit of myself in you and he's let me hold some one-to-one sessions with you. You up for it?" I asked. "Yeah, yeah" Ryan said. "Meet me here at 3:00PM on Thursday" I said, with Ryan nodding before jogging off to the changing rooms.

29th July 2005

It had been five months since i had taken current U15 player Ryan Noble under my wing and tutoring him on the pitch as I was eager to unleash his full potential.

My knee had improved considerably since I injured it last December and I was now back training with the first team again, having played a few games in pre-season as well.

I strode out onto the youth pitches, where I could see Ryan practicing his free-kicks. First-team goalkeeper Kelvin Davis jogged out after me and pointed towards Ryan.

"Is that Ryan Noble?" Kelvin asked me. "Yeah. He's the one you're helping today" I replied as Ryan curled a free-kick into the top left corner of the goal.

Ryan caught us as we stepped onto the pitch he was on. "Afternoon, Liam" Ryan said. "Afternoon Ryan. Ryan, this is Kelvin Davis. The first-team keeper. He's helping us today" I said.

Ryan shook Kelvin's hand. "Nice to meet you, Ryan" Kelvin said and Ryan smiled before nodding to acknowledge the shot-stopper.

"Right then, Ryan. I want 5 free-kicks on your left, 5 on your right then 5 on either foot" I said commandingly as Kelvin took up his place in goal.

Ryan's first left-footed effort was a good one, but Kelvin strecthed to push it over. Ryan drilled his second into the bottom left corner then his third one hit the post.

Ryan's next two attempts were both safely into the arms of Kelvin before Ryan began taking the free-kicks with his stronger right foot.

Ryan was keen to impress and his first right-footed free-kick curled sweetly into the top left corner before his second attempt was palmed away onto the post by Kelvin.

However, the next two attempts on his right foot were both blazed horrendously over the bar, causing me to intervene and have a quick but quiet word with the young lad.

"Listen, Ryan. Don't try too hard. You've got loads of years ahead of you. Try going top right" I said calmly, and Ryan took my advice by fooling Kelvin and curling the ball top right.

Kelvin shook his head as he looked over at me and puffed out his cheeks.

I silently laughed to myself as Ryan then became a bit cheeky and on his left foot, he sent Kelvin the wrong way with the outside of his boot.

"Ok. You've done enough today, Ryan" I said proudly and Ryan picked his water bottle, taking a huge sip before he walked off toward the changing room as Kelvin wiped his face with a towel.

You are reading "Liam Drury: Legend In The Making".
