Ep2- Loan me out boss.
Aitor was fed up with the lack of game time on even the FC Barcelona B team and decided to tell his manager about it. His manager decided to let him out on loan to UD Las Palmas(A lower division team) so he could develop as a footballer. Aitor showed glimpses of greatness anytime he played for the Las Palmas team scoring 7 goals and 6 assists in 21 games.
Though he played well on loan, the manager still wasn't convinced that he could play in the Barcelona squad, he went out on loan the following year to RCD Mallorca. He had a great season in Mallorca breaking into the first team at 17 straight away. He went on to score 11 goals in the La Liga in 36 League starts.
His manager decided to keep him the next season and he signed a new 4 year contract hoping to break into the FC Barcelona first team. But he was not going to bench Luiz Suarez or Lionel Messi at 18 so he went out on loan to FC Shalke 04 and had an good season off the bench. He came off the bench on 6 times and scored 3 crucial goals in his first few games. He later played 16 games and scored 8 goals in the season averaging a goal every other game for Shalke.
Ep3- The setback
Aitor was called up for the U-21 Euros in 2027 and played immensely well scoring 3 goals in 4 apps and winning the 3rd place golden boot while carrying his team to the trophy. Aitor's season started well for FCB scoring 2 goals in the Super Copa Finals 2nd Leg. FC Barcelona bought striker Salinas in 2025 who became their first choice and made Aitor's work of breaking into the first team a whole lot harder. Aitor's season became worse when he got an injury which cost him to sit out matches for 10 months. At 19 the boy who everybody thought could be the next messi was fast becoming another next Messi flop. He went on to play only one match off the bench and scoring no goal. In 2028 he played 5 games and scored only 1 goal for FCB and got loaned to AS Monaco. At Monaco, he didn't have the best season scoring 1 goal in 16 appearances which most were off the bench. Regardless of his bad club season he still had a good season for the Spanish U-21 team. In that season he was given the captains armband for the U-21 team.
