Eusebio Di Francesco has been today announced as the manager of newly Championship outfit Aston Villa, after new owner Dr Tony Xia flew personally to meet with the former Sassuolo manager to agree terms.

Aston Villa were relegated from the Premier League for the first time since it's creation, and fans are currently in a hangover period. The expectations are for Villa to bounce straight back up at their first attempt, however it will not be so easy.

There is a lot of deadwood in the squad that needs to be removed if the side are going to be successful in their hunt for promotion, and Di Francesco will be tasked with deciding who comes under this label, and how to remove them.

The future of the club was uncertain earlier in the year, as owner Randy Lerner was pushing for the sale of his club and fans were left with little to go on until Tony Xia stepped forward.

Now, the future is in the hands of the new manager.
Great team choice considering what's going on in real life. Hopefully you can do a better job.

Dundalk Football Club winger Daryl Horgan has today signed for Aston Villa on a two year deal that will see him remain at the club until 2018.

Horgan is a name that will probably be more familiar to football fans in Ireland than England, after starting his career at Salthill Devon in 2008, before joining Sligo Rovers and later Cork City. He was relatively unsuccessful until joining The Lilywhites, who he helped lift the Irish Premier Division in both 2014 and 2015, as well as two cups.

The winger has joined Villa for a fee of around £350k and has already expressed his determination to do well for the club and impress manager Di Francesco.

"It's obviously a big leap from the Irish Premier Division to the Championship, but I think I'm going to be able to do well and impress the manager."

Horgan had recently been touted as being the brightest talent within the division, and Aston Villa's scouts were evidently impressed.
He will become a Villa Legend
An intriguing choice for manager man and I think Villa might well be on their way to being turned around!
I like this, Villa to go back up!
I read it another day but forget post. I hope you will bring them back and them make chaos in football world.
Great start here, I like what you have done with the images, very basic but it works well!
Cheers all. Updates soon.
