In a shock turn of events, after just being appointed as manager of Inter Milan, Frank de Boer has been sacked after falling out with the hierarchy in a meeting at the San Siro stadium.
The reason as to why the Dutchman and the board had a disagreement is unclear but the club have announced that his contract has been terminated immediately and they are not looking for a new manager to take them through pre-season, and want to swifty appoint his successor.
Club Statement:
"Inter Milan have decided to part company with Frank de Boer after a meeting at the San Siro stadium. We appreciate the little work he did in his 2 weeks at the club, but it is clear his visions do not match ours and we are looking for a more ambitious manager to take the reigns.
Our deadline to appoint our new manager is the 9th July."
The bookies have placed Andre Villas-Boas as the early favourite at odds of 2/1, after he left his position at Zenit at the end of last season.
