Football Manager has been out for a few months now and while I have played around with some simulation saves, I am yet to get into the game. My first save was riddled with long-term injuries meaning I soon lost interest and ended up abandoning my save.

This is the first episode of my new save managing my beloved Liverpool? Can I deliver our first Premier League title and return the club back to the glory days?

Episode one found here - Liverpool #1

I’ll be the first to admit it, and my Facebook would not let me forget, August was a disaster for me. I was given a baptism of fire in the league with my opening two fixtures against Manchester City and Arsenal. Losses against top opposition could be excused, but back-to-back defeats to Rotherham and Southampton are unacceptable.

Episode two can be found here - Liverpool - #2

What a journey it has been already. My first month as Liverpool manager was one to be forgotten as we lost all four of our fixtures. But the lads were able to bounce back in September, picking up three wins from three and not conceding a goal.

We are well and truly on our way up the table after our disappointing start to the season. We are now unbeaten in seven games, including ties against Everton and Tottenham. The Reds are starting to climb the league and put pressure on the top four after our streak. The board wants Europa League qualification, but I am aiming for a Champions League berth at a minimum.

Episode four can be found here - Liverpool - #4

Liverpool are well and truly in the race for the title following three months without a loss. Arsenal is setting the pace for the league and have only lost once; they will be tough to catch but another good month in December could put us into contention.

Liverpool - #5

Despite our unbeaten streak being ended in December, Liverpool still enjoyed a strong month heading into the January transfer window. We picked up wins over both Manchester clubs but suffered disappointing losses to both West Ham and Sunderland.

Episode six can be found here - Liverpool - #6

The transfer window has closed, and after an early exit in the FA Cup, we focus all our efforts on catching Arsenal in the race for the Premier League title. We picked up a vital win over the Gunners in January which made up for our embarrassing defeat to Brighton. Marco Asensio arrived from Real Madrid while Dejan Lovren left for China.

After a shaky start as Liverpool boss, I have stamped my managerial credentials on the Premier League as we are now hot on the heels of league leaders Arsenal. A top four finish should be a formality as we have gained a nice lead over Chelsea in fifth. We lost to Tottenham last episode but also picked up crucial wins over lower league opposition and welcomed back some key members of the squad.

Episode eight can be found here - Liverpool - #8

Liverpool are on a high after a superb episode eight and are chasing Arsenal in the race for the Premier League. We battled to victory over Bournemouth before inflicting heavy defeats on Watford, and our Merseyside rivals Everton. The Gunners are still in fine form and will be tough to catch with some tricky fixtures on the way in April.

Liverpool - #9

The stage is set. We have three fixtures left in a rollercoaster Premier League season, and the title is still up for grabs. Liverpool have favourable fixtures compared to Arsenal, but we are still reliant on the Gunners dropping points to be crowned champions.

Episode ten can be found here - Liverpool - #10

The new season is upon us. After a short holiday, I am back at my beloved Liverpool preparing to mount another challenge for the Premier League title. Last season, we came so close only to fall at the penultimate hurdle which gave Arsenal their 14th league crown but secured second place in the standings and guaranteed Champions League football at Anfield again.

Liverpool - #S02E01

Pre-season has ended and many new faces have arrived at Anfield. Our summer revamp is well underway as we look to mount another challenge for the Premier League title after coming so close last year. The board have backed us financially which can fuel our quest for glory. Our pre-season preparations are over, and it’s time to return to Premier League action.

Liverpool - #S02E02

It’s been a while but it’s time to get my Liverpool save back into full flow. We return with a bumper episode with no less than six fixtures to look forward to. Also, we finally have Champions League football back at Anfield.
