This is for Eugene to reply as he's the sole developer of Genie Scout, but did you try to run FMGenieScout.exe as administrator (right-click and from the emerging context menu select "Run as administrator")?

I believe the problem is related to automatic history point creation feature. You should deactivate it in the history tracking options. The problem will be resolved in the final version of the GS.
