My name is Stephen Ferguson. I am a ex footballer turned manager. I have managed at Crewe Alexandra and I have also managed in Lithuania. I had a strange phone call the other day. It was from my agent Maxwell Batty. He told me of a job in France. I was thinking to myself " This could be my dream job". I was so excited.

Maxwell said" Stephen, my friend. A job at Red Star FC 93 in Paris has come up. The owner and President Patrice Haddad has asked for you. Your work in Lithuania has spread around the world. Would you be interested".

I repied" When do I go to Paris".

Maxwell " How about as soon as I pick you up and take you there myself ".

I ran round bagging everything I would need. Money, Boots, Training gear and my suit.

We set off to Newcastle Airport. Got checked in and a few people looked at me and came over and got autograph's. I never told anybody why I was going to Paris.
Interesting start pal, look forward to seeing more of it!
Nice start. Good luck except when you play Paris FC lol
Good start mate, I guess we have our very own FM Scout Clasico now with JK's Paris FC story...

#TeamRedvee ;)

I arrived in Paris with Maxwell my agent. We shouted "Taxi s'il vous plaît ". I know what people would think. Why haven't they sent a car to pick, you both up. Well aparently Red Star FC don't have a lot of money.

Shortly a taxi came " Stade Bauer s'il vous plaît".

We got out I was nervous and I could of done with having a coffee. My hands sweating. I waited in reception for the owner. I said to the receptionist "Bonjour
Madame, Monsieur. Ferguson Parler au monsieur Haddad ". She smiled and phoned through to Mr Haddad.

Mr Haddad called us through. "Hello I would like to know if you want the job, of manager with our club". He asked.

I said " It would be a honour to become your manager sir".

He gave me a few things. 1. List of staff

2. List of fixtures

3. My contract

I looked at my contract.(carefully). I was shocked. 2 year deal. But I have to reach mid table. Then I looked at the staff. One name came straight to my attention. Steve Marlet. I played against him a few times in my career. He was named as Director of football. I knew having him and me at the club was going to be brilliant. We became friends. we where in contact for a while and then no word from him. I moved to Lithuania and he came here. Funny how he didn't tell me.

I asked Mr Haddad " Steve Marlet is my friend. Does he know I am the manager". He replied " He is a big reason, we want you. He has told us. Of your loyalty to your teams. Your passion for the game and most of all you want big things in your career". I couldn't wait to see my friend Steve.

I asked " When will I meet the players and staff". He replied " Straight away".

Just as I was leaving he said " Bienvenue à Red Star FC M. Ferguson"( Welcome to Red Star FC Mr Ferguson)
Congrats on the job man
I wonder where you got the idea of Red Star Paris from? ;)

I am so excited with my new job. Time to meet the players and staff but first thing's first. Where's my friend Steve Marlet. I walked through the doors and there with a big smile on his face Steve was waiting. We had a few words and coffee.

My first job is to speak with the captain. If I can find him. I looked all over. Training pitch, not there. I went to the changing room and there he was taping his ankle's up. "Are you Vincent plante". I was hoping he could speak english. He was fluent in english.

"I am" he said, unaware of who I was,

I replied " I am your new manager, may I have a word"

I sat there with him for about 30 minutes. I showed him my ideas and he liked what I was planning. However my happiness was to turn to sadness. He explained to me. Due to his age he would be retiring but promised me he would give 110% for me and the team. I have also asked him, to consider being a coach. He is going to think about it near the time.

As you can tell our first friendly is against Stade Reims at home. I will be using 4-3-3 because I have an ex premier league player in my team. hameur bouazza

Can't wait for the match on 13 November
Off to a good start man, looking forward to seeing where this is going!

Matchday 1(friendly's) Stade Reims

My first match in charge and I am very nervous. We are playing Stade Reims of Ligue 1. I have decided to play Bouazza is playing left wing and Naïm Sliti is on the bench.

Hameur Bouazza scored the first goal

Anatole Ngamukol scored the 2nd goal

Shortly afterwards injury to Remi Fournier

Juilian Jeanvier got a yellow card

I had to mix things up. So I brought Naïm Sliti on as an attacking midfielder. He scores in the 80th minute. Brought youth players on for the last 10 minutes and the whistle blew. I could'nt believe we won. I know not to get carried away but I am very happy.
Congrats on the nice win in preseason

We are now three games into our pre season friendly's. Three games have been played and all wins. What a great start. I love it here in Paris. I have a great squad and My coaching staff, are now warming to my english sense of humour.

I have decided, we have a few days to get prepared for a big game against Beşiktaş. So I am arranging for our school boys team to come and train with us.

We started with a few drills and then one kid I can't remember his name. Ran faster than Bouazza and then chipped our goalkeeper Arnaud Balijon. I thought I him signed for us. I went up to Marlet.

I asked Marlet" Steve what is that kid called". Steve Marlet looked at his list and said" Rene Camara". Mmmm I thought. You know when somebody has something special. He is young, so He is now in the under 18s. I also Have Alex Bravo 16 years old central midfielder.

Rene Camara is probably good but he is no Demba lol
