Early Days
As I started the save with Villareal , I relished what I had to do. That is relish the youth. Villareal have fantastic Youth facillities so developing Youth is key. I decided to play a basic 4-3-3 like a more advanced Klopp with Gegenpressing. My front 3 were possibly the strongest point of the team with Castijello, Bakambu and Sansone destroying teams. The first season the 3 scored a combined 34 goals.
Winter Window
The first window was with no cash spent as i brought local boy Aleix Garcia on loan from Man City and former striker Nilmar as a backup option to Bakumbu as Soldado was injured. As of now (October 2017) both Soldado and Nilmar left the club. Pepe was signed for 775k from Real Madrid. It was a bargain. Issac Cuenca the former Bacelona prospect also was signed for 1.2 mil and Alexy Bossetti also joined for 6mil from Nice. We got this money from selling our key centre back for 25mil , Mussachio to Chelsea and Jonothan Dos Santos who I wasnt really using for 4.4 mil to Leicester.
End of Season + Summer Window
At the end of the season we managed to discover that we had developed quite well. We finished 2nd in LA Liga and reached the Champions League Quaters. Bakumbu was top scorer with 21 goals. We werent really a goal scoring side but we proved solid defensive ability and pressed the weaker spanish oponents. Unfortunatelly Most our players wanted to leave. Castijello, Ruiz and Mario all left for a accumilitive sum of around 40mil. For that money I signed Aspas , Adama Traore , Llorente (Real) , Taylor (Leeds) and Torres (Atleti) on free's. Zidane's goalkeeping son also joined as a backup option the Asenjo as Barbosa and Bonera contract expired. We managed to grab Moses from Chelsea aswell and Divock Origi on loan.
