The Toffees have announced their new manager to be Zachary Nwogwugwu, 32 year old management prodigy. Nwogwugwu, who has many caps in a shining career, spent his early years at Charlton Athletic before signing for Manchester City in 1991 for a fee of £1 million, winning the Football League Championship in 2002. He moved to PSV and won the Eredivisie in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007, before getting a dream move to Barcelona before retiring at 31.

"Yes, of course it is a gamble, signing a relative unknown manager to manage my team, but this young chap has potential. I'll have the last laugh when we're top of the world. Of course he's really young, but I don't think 36 is that young - there are some managers at 20. This guy is really special and I think we have pulled off the robbery of the century - snatching him from under the nose of Barcelona, his old club," says Bill Kenwright, co-owner and chairman.

"I can't believe I've recieved this opportunity... the club is fantastic with an amazing history. I've always wanted to become a football manager, ever since I was a little boy in the Charlton academy. This club has a lot of ambition and I believe I can be the man to turn this club's fortunes around," states Nwogwugwu.

In an exclusive interview with new Everton manager Zachary Nwogwugwu, BBC Sport presents Nwogwugwu's plans for the transfer window. He is looking to bring in a left back, a striker for backup to Romelu Lukaku and a goalkeeper to replace aging Maarten Stekelenburg.

Players that Nwogwugwu hinted he may be interested at are possibly David Ospina (Arsenal goalkeeper, 27 years), Asmir Begovic (Chelsea goalkeeper, 29 years), Bruno Gaspar (Vitoria SC left back, 23 years), Tyrone Mings (Bournemouth left-back, 23 years), Connor Wickham (Crystal Palace striker, 24) and Yussuf Poulsen (Leipzig striker, 22)

Some of these targets are unlikely but Nwogwugwu seems confident in securing the signatures of three of these players.

"It is the right career move for me," remarks Ospina, "Everton are a big club and I hope to achieve great success in the future with them. I admire the boss's ambition and I believe that I can be the one to achieve them,"

He seems to have a light-hearted personality, preferring to make jokes about his team-mates instead of responding with more serious or intellectual answers.

"Ospina is a quality player. Trust me. I've been watching his performances for a while - his reflexes are probably on the same level as De Gea - the best in the Premier League," states Nwogwugwu, newly appointed Everton manager.

Ospina started his career at Atletico Nacional in Columbia at the tender age of 16. He made a combined 113 appearances before signing for OGC Nice in France for £1.6 million. He made 211 appearances in France and signed for £3.2 million to Arsenal, and after 2 seasons signed for Everton.

"I don't think we've overspent on Ospina. I think he is largely underrated - worth around £20 million. He is on the same level as De Gea or Courtois but is not regarded as highly." Nwogwugwu continues to defend the player despite criticsm from reporters.

Everton have signed this Danish wonderkid from Leipzig in a £9.75 million deal.

"I am immensely looking forward to playing in the Premier League like other Danish players - Christian Eriksen, Viktor Fischer, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and Kasper Schmeichel - they are very good and I can't wait to score against them," winked Yussuf.

"My ambition is to win the FA Cup, and then the Premier League. I think joining Everton will give me a good chance at both, as both me and the club progress together - we can do amazing things," states the ambitious striker.

"As the children's rhyme goes, second is the best, and of the three signings I will make this window, Yussuf is the best. He is a beast; quick, strong, fit, tall, athletic - everything. He will really push Lukaku for a place in the team," remarks Nwogwugwu

Poulsen started his career at Lyngby in Denmark, and after 35 appearances, scoring 11 goals, he moved to Germany, to RB Leipzig. He helped secure their promotion to the German second tier, with a return of 10 goals in 36 appearances. After a total 97 games scoring 28 goals, he crossed the English channel to somewhere closer to home, Everton Football Club.

"I am very proud of capturing this player. He was highly coveted, but I guess the newly-reinstated pull of Everton FC was too much to pass up. Watch this space, he'll be great for us."

The manager seems bent on Poulsen becoming a club legend.

Everton complete trio transfer window signings with final Mings deal

"I've always played in England, but this is my chance to step up my level. I thrive on challenge - and this is my biggest one," Mings says.

Zachary Nwogwugwu has refused to comment on how expensive his trio of deals has been for the club.

Mings' career started at Bristol Rovers, where he was released and spent 3 years in non-league football before signing for Ipswich in 2013 for £10,000. He signed for Bournemouth in the 2015-16 season but decided to switch the south coast for Merseyside.
