No Room For Weakness

It's been nearly 10 months since Jurgen Klopp took over at the helm of Liverpool Football Club following the sacking of Northern Irishman Brendan Rodgers, and the German knows exactly what is expected of him after talking with Sky Sports News earlier this afternoon. Having had plenty of time to blend in with the squad and the fans he's very much looking for a solid start to the new season.

I know what I need to do, what we need to do. There's no room for weakness in this new season, no room for any liabilities. I know what is expected of me and so do the team. We have our goals set and we by any means will achieve them. This club, the fans...They're are expectant and we all want to provide! it's the least we can do to repay the faith and support they give us day in day out.

With the German knowing exactly what needs to be done it's probably right for the fans to believe they are in safe hands, but what does lie over the horizon for the Mighty Reds? Return to Europe? A first title maybe? Anythings possible after last seasons antics pulled by Ranieri's Leicester City side.

Improvements must be made though, teams just don't get lucky all season long. Leicester worked as a team all year long and Klopp wants to achieve exactly that as revealed when asked about the supposed defensive liabilities and other aspects of the squad.

This is a great team now, I have good players at my disposal, some better than others and some with unbelievable levels of talent but it doesn't matter how much talent one player has you don't bring success to a club as a one man team.

Look at Suarez, tried his best only 2 years ago and the defense really let the side down. He could never do it on his own and for most of the season he was with some help from Daniel [Sturridge].

There are improvements to be made, I know the fans want to see big players I know this but I can only do what I think is good for the team. We want a team and not individuals so we have to do our best to mold this.

I know you want me to confirm that we are looking at certain players, I have heard the rumors of Reus and Costa but all I can say is that it is the defense that needs improving. and we will try. To this day it is still the biggest weakness of the team.

Can Liverpool put there recent woes behind them in the new season?
Good start mate, also great to see you back. Will be interesting to see how Klopp leads Liverpool into the new season.

Llamas in Failed Transfer Deal

Just days after Klopp's admission to needing a bolstered defense, it look as though the clubs start to this seasons transfer window has taken a stone cold blow. What is thought to be one of Liverpool's main targets - Andres Llamas - was all but signed for the Reds until it became clear he would fail his medical just hours away from putting pen to paper.

Andres Llamas currently plays in the A.C. Milan u20s, not a bad place to be at all. However after hearing of Liverpool's interest in having him as a first team player, he will surely be devastated at missing out on such a big opportunity.

Srill young at 18 years of age, the Italian will most likely have plenty more opportunities ahead of him. If Liverpool can understand such potential surely other clubs will?

Llamas is unlikely to be going anywhere until January given his injury will last him 4 months, with a broken ankle. It is thought Klopp is still intent on getting his man even if he has to wait till January.

A spokesperson for the club says Klopp is a big admirer of the young man and feels he can become a great player at whatever club he's at. But preferably...Liverpool.
I hope you can get him soon

Hit and Miss

It's been a slow start to Liverpool's summer transfer window with the unfortunate knock back of Llamas' failed medical, now they've missed out on another key target - Although responding to that with a quick fire plan B.

That's right as you may have heard Tottenham have signed Felipe Anderson for a fee thought to be around £34M. Supposedly Liverpool had agreed a fee, and terms with the player and agent but in London the grass is greener for the Brazilian it seems.

The right winger was said to be coming in to add much needed depth as well as quality on both sides of the attack but it just wasn't to be.

But how have Liverpool responded? With plan B. Not a worse player than Anderson by any stretch of the imagination, but Fiorentina's very own Bernadeschi has been aquired by the reds for what is thought to be exactly £24 Million.

The young hotshot that plays on the right wing, up front and on the left is said to be delighted with his recent transfer, as are his new teammates. Bernadeschi will earn a whopping 100K p/w, a big increase from his pay at the viola.

A huge signing for Liverpool which who knows? Might just spell success. Can the Italian become a Liverpool legend or will he crack under pressure?

In other news, Alberto Moreno has left the club for around £7M. Leaving the club without a decent natural left back, the only player adept at the position being Milner.

Will Klopp strengthen the left side of the defense? Surely he has too? There's just no way you can call your own defense a liability, and use a midfielder in their places...is there? Big things on the horizon maybe?
Bernardeschi is a very good player from experience, Moreno leaving for £7M is also some very good business considering how woeful he is. :P
Scott: Extremely woeful, I wanted him out as soon as possible. Complete liability? Hopefully we can replace him a little better :P

Klopp - "Huge Signing The Key To Success"

It's been 2 days since "Marquee" signing Bernadeschi put pen to paper on a five year deal with Liverpool and today another highly talented player has joined the ranks for a massive sum of money.

Confirmed earlier today as new Reds left back is Jose Gaya from Spanish outfit Valencia. An absolutely massive signing which is thought to equate to exactly £30 million with potential clauses in the deal.

Already an experience defender, having been linked to the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Real Madrid it seems to be quite the acquisition for Liverpool, one of which tells us he's very excited for the challenge ahead.

Gaya, speaking to Sky Sports News - "I can't wait to join up with the squad, it's an exciting time for Liverpool with Jurgen as manager, good things are around the corner and I feel like the best place for me to develop as a player and human is under the influence of Jurgen Klopp while plying away in the Premier League.

It's going to be a great new season and hopefully a good few years, I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully I can help out as best I can

The Spaniard finished just as Klopp jumped in saying - This is a huge step for the club, we don't often make signings like this and now we're making big big steps forward.

I believe this man is the absolute key to success, and will be here for many years to come

So far so good for Liverpool F.C.
Good update, hope Gaya can put some solid performances in at full back.

Two In Two Out At Anfield

A busy transfer market has just gotten hectic it seems over in Liverpool, as two arrive to play in front of the famous kop, and two leave for pastures new in the search for more game time.

Adam Bogdan and Danny Ings have both departed the club after some not so successful spells with the reds. Ings and Bogdan bother joined in the same window on free transfers only one year ago and it looks like Klopp has seen enough of the two brought in by Rodgers.

Firstly, the Hungarian keeper will be packing his bags and setting off the Ukraine in the hope of game time with Dinamo Moscow who in recent history have been playing second fiddle to Shakthar Donetsk. He leaves on a free.

Ings, the once hot prospect working his way up the ladder from non league football all the way up to the Premier League leaves to join West Brom for 10.5M. Will we see a resurgence in the Englishmans form? His National career certainly depends on it.

The two joining will be Jordi Amat for 12.5M, and Gabrielle Bellodi for only 925k. Both centre backs, one an experienced Premier League player and another an extremely hot prospect.

Klopp clearly not happy with his current centre backs obviously thought the back four needed even more strength which they'll certainly get in Amat. Bellodi one very much for the future will be looking more so to game time in the domestic cup competitions.

Does this spell the end for transfer business at Liverpool in the 2016/17 summer transfer window?
Danny Ings personally has been very unlucky but isn't good enough for Liverpool regardless, however is a perfect fit for West Brom. Notice, I completely miss Bogdan because he isn't worth talking about... I'm interested by the signing of Amat, certainly something I wouldn't have predicted - although I trust your judgement. Finally Bellodi I know little about, but I expect we'll see him pop up sometime in the future.
Scott: Not many do know of Bellodi or even Llamas, I have first hand experience ;) Trust me on this :P Danny Ings is good but not good enough for us you are right, Amat I have a good feeling about!
Damn this is the first time in ages I have heard the name Adam Bogdan haha
Looking forward to Amat and Bellodi becoming a force.
